毎年８月１３日、お箸がいつもと左右逆さまに置かれる飲食店が増えています。それを見た人はビックリしたりムズムズしたり。じつは左利きの人は、毎日そんな気分なのです。左利きの人が、普段どんな違和感をもって生活しているのかを、右利きの皆さんに楽しく体験していただこうとはじめた、このささやかな運動をLefteous（レフチャス）と呼んでいます。耳慣れないこの言葉は造語です。「完全な正しさ」を意味するrighteousという英語がありますが、このright（右）をこっそりleft（左）に入れ替えてみたのです。右(right)だけが必ずしも正しい(right)わけじゃないっていう、思いを込めて。神出鬼没な運動ですから、どこかでお目にかかりましょう。
