Wednesday, November 02, 2005. Things are cooling off a little here in Thailand. The walk to work this morning was quite pleasant, although by noon it was well into the 90's again. With financial worries, child worries, trying to keep things interesting. I couldn't imagine it would be a healthy relationship. So better to terminate now than later. Monday, July 18, 2005. So long. and thanks for all the fish! Shannon's gone, and with her, my meal ticket :). J/k she did buy me a couple of meals that I'm too poor (*sob*) to afford on my own, which was nice. I consider it fair payment for the bed ;). I have a new office mate. Vicky is from Washington State and is here for 2 to 4 months. She has something like 5 advanced degrees and can speak 3 languages. Me, I can make mouth noises! I am learning a bit of Thai, but it's slow going. OK that's all for now.

It's also to easy to be to cynical. unlike in the US, Thailand doesn't have much of a social safety net.
