Every Stitch: The Burnt Quilt
http://everystitchblog.blogspot.com/2012/11/the-burnt-quilt.html
Wednesday, 7 November 2012. I have been working on The Burnt Quilt aka "Oh dear, Mrs Tompkins" (Di Ford's lovely reproduction pattern ) - using the Dutch chintz central panel in the centre. I am also using a small stash of Dutch chintz florals in the big stars, though I hate chopping them up. If you know the pattern, you might see I have avoided doing the tricky inner borders by replacing them with appliqued red stars (fun to do with English paper piecing) . That is what I am working on at the moment.

Might be a. Here is the broderie perse centre for the quilt - all cut from Tree of Life. It was a bit of a mess at first auditioning the pieces - so hard to visualise at that stage! Every Stitch: Merry Christmas!
http://everystitchblog.blogspot.com/2014/12/merry-christmas.html
Wednesday, 24 December 2014. I didn't think I'd manage it, but here it is . a Christmas post. Nothing like a last minute deadline. I finished the hand quilting on my Four Block applique quilt. And bound it just in time to hang it with the Christmas tree. And when I say "not perfection" that includes nicking the background with my scissors (insert ladylike expletive at the time) - not just once, but twice -. Making two little holes! Wedding quilt: Block 12 finished - a relatively simple one this time.
Wendy's life, family, home and hobbies: December 2007

Wendy's life, family, home and hobbies. Saturday, December 8, 2007. Our happy leader, Erica, getting into the Christmas spirit. The girls ordered barbecued chickens and salads, plus we made green salads and lots of people brought along sweets to add. There were about 30 people there. Lots of good company, as always. This is Vicky showing off her Lone Star. We all did this workshop with Irene about 4 years ago. Finally, Vicky has finally decided on her background, and we all agreed, it looks great. Everyo...
Wendy's life, family, home and hobbies
http://wendyquilts.blogspot.com/2007/11/i-have-to-show-some-photos-of-garden.html
Wendy's life, family, home and hobbies. Monday, November 19, 2007. I have to show some photos of the garden. The first one is the sweet peas. We have the best sweet peas in the whole street! We hear people talking about them as they walk past and secretly pick the flowers and then the seeds when they are ready. I don't care - they could have them. This is the perfect spot with the north east sun un the morning during the winter. They are spectacular, and just keep self seeding. Labels: Spring garden 2007.

Wendy's life, family, home and hobbies. Monday, November 19, 2007. Now that I have finished trying to fill in my 8 weeks off work, I have decided to get back to finsihing some quilts. The "Bright Baltimore" has been picked up again. I finally decided on a name for this quilt - it is to be called "Bling Bling Baltimore". Is that a bit stupid? I thought it sounded modern, but willing to take any comments. Labels: Bling Bling Baltimore. November 19, 2007 at 5:55 PM. Lots of love from Sydney,. I have not use...
