Blog: May 2005

Saturday, May 14, 2005. The book is very engaging and i recommend it to anyone who wants a fresh look on things. It can be pretty scary to think about this sometimes. Possibly scarier is that appears most people in our society seem to live like they don't care about this at all. Posted by anatomicdragoon @ 9:34 PM. View my complete profile. Physio has inspired me.

Roger's Occasional Rant.: Norman Goh
http://rogerr.blogspot.com/2006/05/norman-goh.html
Thursday, May 18, 2006. Oh Norman Norman Norman. Most people aren't important enough to deserve their own blog entry, but Norman's special. He's really special you see. [I hate you Norman.]. For the past, I've been doing Space Design Stuff. Space Design - or UTSDC - is one of those things that Norman dreamed up one day when he's overdosed on caffeine and sugar. So anyway, May 8. So after hunting down for judges, putting together some crtierias, May 16. So when did I meet this shady [Norman Goh] character?

Roger's Occasional Rant.: It's amazing who you run into...
http://rogerr.blogspot.com/2005/05/its-amazing-who-you-run-into.html
Thursday, May 12, 2005. It's amazing who you run into. Today was rather eventful - not in the sense of things happening, but rather who I met. He was looking at me strangely until he said: "You look familiar, you were the MC at Nocturne! Apparently his son performed on the bass guitar (I think? And he was in attendance. Of course, I didn't recognize him (he was probably in the back along with all the noisy people), but it was a neat coincidence. He took out a pen and notepad and we started a conversation!

Misanthropic: May 2005
http://roguy.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 28, 2005. Lake right beside our campsite. We witnessed a hick girl catching a really big (longer than a foot) fish, I was impressed. Posted by Roman at 10:15 AM. Posted by Roman at 10:14 AM. Primary camping activity. Note the functional use of pants in socks to keep mosquitos out. Also note the lack of any exposed flesh. Posted by Roman at 10:14 AM. Posted by Roman at 10:13 AM. Now some of you might be asking, what is it exactly that I do? All in all, it was a fun time, the worst part is at...

Roger's Occasional Rant.: June 2004
http://rogerr.blogspot.com/2004_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 15, 2004. Lately, I've been receiving German emails, most of which appear to come from waterloo engineering. Giving up on the idea of finding someone who speaks German, I've decided to use AltaVista Babelfish! To my dismay, there are no waterloo trade secrets in the mail, only what appears to be spam. Not spam really, it seems like they've signed me up for some political newsletter. Here's one I got today:. Auslaenderanteile in Schweizer Gefaengnissen. Foreigner portions in Swiss prisons.

Misanthropic: April 2005
http://roguy.blogspot.com/2005_04_01_archive.html
Saturday, April 23, 2005. Where this brings us now, and what prompted me to write this entry, is the current politicizing of the judiciary, and the attempts of the christian right to neuter it. Read this entire. Username: brian u@spam.la , brought to you by www.bugmenot.com. Http:/ www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-strategy22apr22,1,799431.story? There's just the small issue of that being grossly and blatantly unconstitutional, as clearly spelled out by article 3:. If this ever comes to pass,...

Roger's Occasional Rant.: Elevators
http://rogerr.blogspot.com/2005/05/elevators.html
Saturday, May 14, 2005. McLellan Physics elevators are scary. I'm on 5th floor, waiting for the elevator to the basement. In my hand I held sieves filled with glass beads and sand, ready for sifting. After a short while, elevator 4 responded to my calling. I stepped into the empty gloomy lit elevator. Holding the sieves in my hand, I struggled to hit the 'B' for basement. The door closes and the elevator begins its descend. My eyes wandered as I survey the transportation cubicle. The buttons did nothing.

Roger's Occasional Rant.: 'tis the worse of times...
http://rogerr.blogspot.com/2005/12/tis-worse-of-times.html
Thursday, December 22, 2005. Tis the worse of times. It's been 5 months since my last blog. Yes - I've been "irresponsible" and lazy. BLEH. Back from where we left off - Promag Blows. I really should had it finished in the summer, but stuff got in the way. Anyway, after a lengthy process of filtering articles submissions (we've got 15 this issue! Done, and over with. Just in time for Congress. Speaking of congress, we (Kharthick, Norman, Amy, me) have decided not to go, in favour of a certain New York tr...

http://rogerr.blogspot.com/2006/09/exactly.html
Saturday, September 16, 2006. This is what I'm talking about. On this note, " Piled Higher and Deeper. Brings interesting (and of course satirical) insights to life as a grad student. I will refer to it once in a while (about as often as I blog). Posted by Roger at 4:16 PM. This comment has been removed by a blog administrator. You look like the dude in the cartoon.
