Welcome to the fabulous life of Charlie and Mel! Sunday, May 11, 2008. At the bottom of the page there is a slide show about our recent backpacking trip to Havasupai. We went in April with Charlie's sister and her husband and we had an absolute blast! We hiked into the canyon and stayed two nights, which is a perfect amount of time to see all of the beauty the canyon has to offer. We would recommend that all of you take some time to enjoy this beautiful place here in the great state of Arizona! The pictu...

Welcome to the fabulous life of Charlie and Mel! Friday, January 9, 2009. A Costa Rican Christmas. So as most of you know, Charlie and I had the opportunity to spend Christmas and the New Year in Costa Rica with my family. It was absolutely amazing! Bats and every giant insect created! Christmas was very untraditional. We went zip lining through the jungle. One cable was over 2500 feet long and 200 feet above the ground! Enough at night to see lava flowing down the mountain! A Day At a Time: Riding the Wave

A Day At a Time. Journey in finding my new normal. July 29, 2010. When I created this blog it was to give me a place to write how I feel and get out the feelings I don't know what else to do with. Well this weekend was one of the worst I have had in along time and several times I sat to write how I felt and it wouldn't come out! Grief is all encompassing, suffocating, smothering, restricting and very unpredictable! August 4, 2010 at 9:49 PM. August 17, 2010 at 10:23 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

A Day At a Time. Journey in finding my new normal. August 25, 2010. I came across some statistics while reading The Grief Club by Melody Beattie and felt like I should share them.this book was published in 2006 so they are already 4 years old and I am sure the numbers have increased. The official number of suicides in the United States is approximately 30,000 a year but the actual number may be three to five times higher because many suicides go unreported. Suicide affects all ages, races, and genders.

Welcome to the fabulous life of Charlie and Mel! Tuesday, May 19, 2009. Well I finally did it! I graduated from ASU last Friday and it feels awesome! I thought this day would never come but it finally did and I'm excited to start a new chapter of my life. The weekend was so much fun and it was great having all of my family here. The ceremony was very nice and Hugh Downs from sixty minutes was one of the speakers! The student speaker was a transvestite, who had a great message but I was a little surprised!
