Sun photographer John Wright, my husband, came home raving about a sweet but savory treat he sampled at the closing day of the Paducah Farmer's Market. He had sampled a dish called Sweet Potato Won-Tons and got the recipe from the Master Foods Volunteer, Riff Turner pictured above. I'll share it with you below, just in time for late fall meals. 3 cups sweet potatoes, cubed, approximately 1 pound raw. 1/2 cup chopped onion. 4 cloves of garlic, minced.

Tuesday, December 23, 2008. Wrong I'm typing this with flour on my countertop and on just about everywhere else in the kitchen. I think the black cat now looks like a skunk because she strolled under the counter in the middle of rolling out the dough. Still, my son and I are having a blast rolling out the dough and cutting it with our gingerbread boy cutter. He doesn't know I've cheated this year and not mixed the dough from scratch.
