Chinese New Year | Tales of a Harajuku Cat
https://harajukucat.wordpress.com/2007/02/18/chinese-new-year
Tales of a Harajuku Cat. Just another WordPress.com weblog. February 18, 2007. To celebrate Chinese New Year today, Biker and I go to our local Chinese Restaurant for dim sum. We like it here since the head waiter knows us, he knows that I can speak a bit of Canto but cannot read any and he knows that Biker likes roast belly pork and milk custard buns and that we always order too much! Even though like my oldest bro, you’re nearly 40 and unmarried you would still get lai see! I can’t wait! So this year I...

So you think you can shop… | Tales of a Harajuku Cat

Tales of a Harajuku Cat. Just another WordPress.com weblog. So you think you can shop…. December 14, 2009. I can shop for almost anything. Shoes, bags, the perfect LBD, rare cheese, fine wine – you name it and I know where to go. Did I say I’m a seasoned bargain hunter too? I can usually sniff one out within 100 metres. But everyone has their Achilles heel, and my shopping thorn in the side? It’s toys. Kids toys. Where do people buy these darned things from? How hard is it? Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Love or Hate? Short Story | Tales of a Harajuku Cat
https://harajukucat.wordpress.com/2010/03/11/love-or-hate-short-story
Tales of a Harajuku Cat. Just another WordPress.com weblog. March 11, 2010. Whilst your head is turned, I’m looking at you with what I hope is absolute and pure contempt. I hate you. I hate you. I hate you. You’re talking about some job you’ve worked on. I’ve heard this story only about fifty million times. Have you been to the Old House? Yes, I worked on it and it’s an amazing place. The lady that owns it must be worth a fortune blah, blah, blah. Nine years ago what was I thinking? Do you also remember ...

Tales of a Harajuku Cat. Just another WordPress.com weblog. The eyes underneath…. September 2, 2009. At first it was curiosity – how do the airline staff check that these women are who they say they are? Maybe to them the kind of life that I led was wrong, something they would never experience or consider. For me, their life of marriage (maybe even arranged marriage) and then a life of hiding yourself from the outside world and keeping yourself only for your husband. Anyway, back tot he lady on her way t...

Human Traffic | Tales of a Harajuku Cat
https://harajukucat.wordpress.com/2007/04/14/human-traffic
Tales of a Harajuku Cat. Just another WordPress.com weblog. April 14, 2007. It’s crazy – here is a girl who would cry at the thought of someone dying on his way to work, yet I would go in there and hope to do something, to make a difference. Why would humans do this to each other? Why can life be snatched away so easily? There is nothing like a disaster to make you feel all the more fallible and all the more human. One Response to “Human Traffic”. April 26, 2007 at 2:53 pm. I hope you are doing well in y...

Single Sex | Tales of a Harajuku Cat
https://harajukucat.wordpress.com/2010/09/01/single-sex
Tales of a Harajuku Cat. Just another WordPress.com weblog. September 1, 2010. No, this isn’t a blog about sex per se, and it’s certainly not about having sex with oneself aka masturbation. I’m not that kind of blogger! Is it because we’re picky, is it because we have high expectations? Not sure, maybe a little bit, but women become of a certain age and it suddenly gets harder. Or is he still clinging onto his hair and his misspent youth? Also how do you know he’s not a psycho? You don’t want to ge...

It wasn’t always so… short story 2 | Tales of a Harajuku Cat

Tales of a Harajuku Cat. Just another WordPress.com weblog. It wasn’t always so… short story 2. April 19, 2010. If only I had known that that would be the last time you would hold me with what I think is love in your eyes. If only I had known that would be the last time we would eat sushi together as man and wife. If only I had known that would be the last time I would awake from my sleep next to you. Where did it go wrong? Could I have done more, could you have done more? Why don’t you love me? So now t...
