A chronicle of my crafting adventures. Black and green zipper snap top. July 1, 2015. Using the new blouse pattern. That I drafted in my previous project, I made a new top! I’m thinking a crazy work out to get some washboard abs will take too long so I’ll prob match this top with a black dress or really high waisted bottoms. Zipper looks almost like lace detailing. And me with this new top. July 1, 2015. Summer short sleeved 2 buttoned blazer. Peacock vest from remnant fabric. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

https://sharoncreations.wordpress.com/2015/07/24/cross-over-layering-top
A chronicle of my crafting adventures. Cross over layering top. July 24, 2015. This fabric is probably 5 years old and has been waiting for its turn to be transformed into an outfit. So I adjusted the recent pattern of a blouse and made it a crossover top. Snap on buttons hold it together. Great for this incredibly hot summer because it’s light and white. I made a pair of shorts as well so here’s how I put them together. Buttons in front to get the crossover effect. It was a fun day! July 24, 2015. All t...

https://sharoncreations.wordpress.com/2015/08/08/refashioning-a-long-dress
A chronicle of my crafting adventures. Refashioning a long dress. August 8, 2015. Made this dress some time ago and thought I’d have loads of opportunities to wear it. I did wear it. Once. So I guess it needs some refashioning. Modeled by the beautiful Ella. Chopped off the bottom to make a new skirt. One layer of lace should suffice. Too old for multiple layers of lace. The dress itself is updated with white lace at the hem. Just like the skirt.:). A shorter, everyday look. August 8, 2015. DIY dressmaki...

Sporty orange and black top | Sharon Creations
https://sharoncreations.wordpress.com/2015/07/26/sporty-orange-and-black-top
A chronicle of my crafting adventures. Sporty orange and black top. July 26, 2015. This is a no pattern, on-the-spot design. Turned out pretty okay and fits me like a glove. Started off with me wanting to create a crossover bust top. There wasn’t enough fabric to make it a one piece cut. So I had to make the bust and bottom pieces separately. Realized it was too low in the front so I added a modesty panel. Side view. A little high-low hem going on. The bust area makes it look sporty. July 26, 2015. Enter...

Refashioning Xmas turquoise skirt | Sharon Creations
https://sharoncreations.wordpress.com/2015/07/05/refashioning-xmas-turquoise-skirt
A chronicle of my crafting adventures. Refashioning Xmas turquoise skirt. July 5, 2015. Remember the turquoise skirt. I made last Xmas? I decided that the raw hem just wouldn’t do anymore. Also, I wanted some length added. So I cut out a rectangular strip, folded it I’m half lengthwise, and sewed it on to the edge me the skirt. For a more unique look, the new hem is slightly shorter than the circumference me the original hem. What do you think of this new look? July 5, 2015. McCalls M9872 contrast dress.

New non-knit blouse | Sharon Creations
https://sharoncreations.wordpress.com/2015/06/12/new-non-knit-blouse
A chronicle of my crafting adventures. June 12, 2015. I usually sew knit tops as they’re such forgiving fabrics. However it was time to try something new. After working on the pattern for the Mr, I thought it would be possible to make a pattern out of a blouse that I really like. So I spent Wednesday afternoon working on the pattern, cutting out the pieces, and sewing up the main body pieces. So glad that I took the time to make the pattern. I’ll be making more of these tops for summer! June 12, 2015.

Summer short sleeved 2 buttoned blazer | Sharon Creations
https://sharoncreations.wordpress.com/2015/07/05/summer-short-sleeved-2-buttoned-blazer
A chronicle of my crafting adventures. Summer short sleeved 2 buttoned blazer. July 5, 2015. With the same beginning pattern. In the last two posts, I created this summer blazer that has two snap on buttons. Cut out pattern pieces. I added length to the bodice as well as the bottom of the collar so that the tips are long enough to overlap. Sew the pieces together and add darts where necessary to give the outfit some shape. For this outfit, it was one long dart in the back. Pin, chalk, sew, then cut!
