This is a wonderful play barn styled by the famous child artist Erica Hibble is furnished with plenty of toys. It was so good we bought the house next door. I always holiday here with my partner. Jonny Coupland, Brighton. We stayed at three gîtes in France this year, and La Porcherie was the best one. Powered by T3 Framework.

Situated facing the quadrangle, this interesting conversion offers you an airy space and comfortable surroundings. Its trump card is the double height lounge area with bridged staircase access for the upper rooms. You enter directly to the spacious living room, with its quirky mezzanine. There is a large T.V. with British "Sky Free to air" and a DVD player here too. The kitchen and dining area is down a short flight of stairs, from the living room, protected by a stair-gate. There is ample room for cots.

This original rose covered cottage was at one time a farm-worker's cottage. You will find it in pole-position for the restaurant in St. Marcel du Perigord: - It is just off the quadrangle in the private and secluded leafy lane leading to the village. This charming property enjoys a private terrace and BBQ behind the house and is surrounded by trees benefitting from shade in the heat of the summer. Le Pigeonnier - Le Manoir De St Marcel

This romantic and rustic pigeon tower has been restored sympathetically to retain much of its old-world charm. The tower is built into the bank on the North side of the quadrangle. On arriving you enter on the middle of the three floors, into the living room. From the living room you mount the stairs to the bedroom. This enjoys a wealth of exposed oak beams in the ceiling, and thick stone walls. Apart from the double bed you have the possibility of having a small single bed, or a cot here.

I always wanted to be an astronaut until I realised the fantasy was far more interesting than the reality. Since then I just wanted to draw and paint. I travelled around the world to see if there was somewhere else I'd rather be, I found a few places but they wouldn't let me stay. So I live in Sussex and have come to know that wherever my wife and son are is home.
