Sew Annie Sew: March 2016
http://sewanniesew.blogspot.com/2016_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, 26 March 2016. Small pouch with flap. I do like making small gifts for my friends particularly when they have a special birthday. I really like this Lynette Anderson embroidery design which uses simple stitches to great effect and the little blue bird is delightful. I have lined the pouch with blue fleecy fabric and my friend is using it for her reading specs. The method for making up the pouch is very simple and I made another some time ago which I use for my rotary cutter. 3¾” x 16. Sew these...

Sew Annie Sew: August 2016
http://sewanniesew.blogspot.com/2016_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, 25 August 2016. Just a very quick post this time - I got a bit excited this morning when I randomly laid out all the big hexagons that I have made since I wrote about making donuts. They're looking really interesting . or do I mean weird! Some still don't have their centres. This is how the big hexagons are made by sewing diamonds to the donuts. I'm hoping to make enough for a quillow after the success of the one in my last post. That means I've. Happy Stitching - Anita x. Friday, 19 August 2016.

Sew Annie Sew: Trunk Full of House Quilts
http://sewanniesew.blogspot.com/2016/11/trunk-full-of-house-quilts.html
Friday, 18 November 2016. Trunk Full of House Quilts. Soma of Whims and Fancies is hosting the "Trunk Full of Quilts 2016". And I've decided to collect up all my quilts featuring houses to show - not that they would fill a very big trunk as the largest of them is only 27" x 34". Below is the most recent which features my house and all my husband's sheds. You can read about it in a previous post here. Then in chronological order starting with the oldest and smallest first, this is "Wash-day at the Nook".

Sew Annie Sew: December 2016
http://sewanniesew.blogspot.com/2016_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, 15 December 2016. A Fabric Christmas at Flowerpatch. Despite a very misty evening there were plenty of members at the Flowerpatch Quilters December meeting and we had a relaxing time sewing some simple folded Christmas decorations, chatting and eating yummy mince pies. These are the three designs that we sewed with links to the methods for making:. Folded 5" circle making a square. Folded 5" pentagon making a star. And this is a link for printing out different sizes of pentagon. I felt that she...

http://sewanniesew.blogspot.com/2016/12/eva-owl-lino-printing.html
Thursday, 1 December 2016. Eva Owl - lino printing. A while ago I had a brilliant day at Cartwheels Craft Centre. Doing a lino printing workshop with Louise Nichols. (Louise gave a talk at the last Flowerpatch Quilters meeting which you can read about in a previous post. We could draw our own design to print and I decided to do Eva Owl from my wall hanging "It's a Hoot". For my first attempt. This is how she has finally turned out! And Father Christmasses, all made from our homegrown wood. And there is a...

Sew Annie Sew: Christmas Circles
http://sewanniesew.blogspot.com/2016/10/christmas-circles.html
Saturday, 29 October 2016. Follow my blog with Bloglovin. Well I'm really getting ahead of myself this year! Most years I sew a little something to add to my collection of homemade Christmas decorations, but this is usually a last minute affair when there's less than a week to go! I've recently seen two lovely tree decorations that take my fancy especially as they both involve a folded circle and I have tried them out already - Angels and Squares. I cut two contrasting squares of fabric. For my angel's w...

Sew Annie Sew: January 2017
http://sewanniesew.blogspot.com/2017_01_01_archive.html
Monday, 30 January 2017. I have been really enjoying myself - playing with printing and stitching, after the workshop with Louise Nichols. A few months ago. This is my second attempt at embellished lino printing and what better subject to choose than the wonderful and versatile Bramley's Seedling apple. And the resulting apples, which were printed in similar colours, after they had been embellished with fabric and stitch. 189;" x 5" and my finished wall hanging measures approx 9" x 18". I've been ploddin...

http://sewanniesew.blogspot.com/2016/11/louise-nichols-at-flowerpatch.html
Monday, 14 November 2016. Louise Nichols at Flowerpatch. How lovely to get into the swing of a new Flowerpatch Quilter's year with textile artist Louise Nichols. And her talk on pattern, design, printing and stitching. Louise's next project was to be making wedding and other cards with some stitching and making simple stitchery gifts. This led her on to purses and pouches etc. under her "Loula Bells" label. Also articles and designs for Sew magazine. Other news from the Flowerpatch November meeting - Liz...

Sew Annie Sew: June 2016
http://sewanniesew.blogspot.com/2016_06_01_archive.html
Monday, 13 June 2016. Jeanette Orr at Flowerpatch. It was exactly 5 years to the very day since Jeanette Orr came to Flowerpatch Quilters to talk about her life of sewing and patchwork, and we were absolutely delighted to welcome her back as in those 5 years she has achieved so much with her needlecraft skills. So many precise points. Ribbons - with all the ribbon shading beautifully stitched. Dance as if no one were watching.". And I think this is probably my favourite of all. Next time 14th July, we ha...
