I am grateful for unexpected connections. I was at work today, when I met a coworker who found out that I was going to South Africa. It turns out this coworker had been in the Peace Corps. We got to talking for a little bit and she made quite a few recommendations for books and movies to watch while I prepare for my journey. Links to this post.

I wrote this letter to my home congregation in Pennsylvania for the Easter Season. Easter greetings from Durban! My Easter holiday season has been absolutely wonderful so far. I attribute this in part to the fact that I have been 100% healthy the past few days and on the go ever since. Or would we have regrets of things we wish we had gotten to?

So it has definitely been a little while since my last post, but I can assure you it has been a bit of a journey for me too! So Christmas day… it turned out to be a very bright South African experience! Upon arrival, we started right away with helping Thandekile in the kitchen as she was the only one cooking for about 25 people and at the same time watching and trying to entertain about ten children! Now for the New Year!
