An Inculcator's Ramblings: Remodel
http://inculcator.blogspot.com/2009/06/remodel.html
Yea, I know. It's been a while. So we're paying a friend to remodel parts of our master bathroom and teach/model for me along the way. I've learned a lot watching and helping. I've never been very handy, but I'd like to change that. We're already looking forward to other projects I can do myself (yea right) based on the knowledge and experienced gained from fixing up this bathroom. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Small Town Proser: August 2010
http://smalltownproser.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Pronunciation: 'prO-z&r Function: noun 1 : a writer of prose 2 : one who talks or writes tediously. Friday, August 13, 2010. My Other Colorado Adventure. Last week, Cindy and I went on vacation to Colorado. We climbed Mt. Democrat. We stayed in an awesome bed-and-breakfast. We clambered and explored in Eleven Mile Canyon. I hesitated at first, however, to share this other story, but I have decided it's too good to miss. At this point, we gave up and went to bed. I drove back to the house, and presented t...

Small Town Proser: A Poem I Like, But Can't Quite Decipher Yet

Pronunciation: 'prO-z&r Function: noun 1 : a writer of prose 2 : one who talks or writes tediously. Thursday, December 02, 2010. A Poem I Like, But Can't Quite Decipher Yet. This is a poem by a guy named Christian Wiman. I got it here. I love the flow of the verse, and its circular continuity and searching wistfulness. I don't think the guy is a Christian, for those who may be wondering. I'm interested to see what you poetry fans make of the meaning. God goes, belonging to every riven thing he's made.

Small Town Proser: Doubt, My Old Friend
http://smalltownproser.blogspot.com/2012/01/doubt-my-old-friend.html
Pronunciation: 'prO-z&r Function: noun 1 : a writer of prose 2 : one who talks or writes tediously. Friday, January 06, 2012. Doubt, My Old Friend. There's a tricky thing about that kind of thinking, though: doubt of God often disguises itself as humility about oneself. I doubt that I'll be able to be the man God has called me to be, forgetting that when He calls, He promises to provide, equip, and empower. I've cleverly disguised my doubts as doubting something other. Last week I worked hard to prepare ...

Pronunciation: 'prO-z&r Function: noun 1 : a writer of prose 2 : one who talks or writes tediously. Monday, October 03, 2011. Learning My Lesson Again. I'm very humbled and grateful this week for many reasons. One of those reasons is that through the generosity of a couple of individuals, Jeremy Oehring, Darrin Griffin, and I got to go to the Brooklyn Tabernacle Worship Music Conference last week in New York. It was just what I needed in several ways. This gave me a shock. Here's why.

An Inculcator's Ramblings: In Trouble

We know biting was happening both ways, but unfortunately Joel bites harder. I guess no one knows exactly who begins each of these little biting sessions, but apparently it seems that Carter and Joel just don't get along very well. Heh, I hope that they know each other later in life and can look back on this and laugh. I know that Joel hasn't been biting anyone else lately in daycare or. An Inculcator's Ramblings: Role Model

Salsa bowl, he mimics words we use, he now tries to walk down the stairs like we do. He may have had some idea that Lucy was being reprimanded (with the same word we use to redirect Joel), but his act seemed more like blind imitation, something he saw dad do and that he wanted to try too. Imitate, even as adults, is so subtly impressed upon us by our friends/media/etc that we remain blind to what we are becoming? Conscious choice to be more Christlike or kind or diligent or selfless.
