Again it was raining as we woke and therefore had a lazy breakfast resulting in a late stat to our activity which we decided would be another, but different walk in the jungle despite the rain. In the afternoon we were going for what for me was the highlight of the trip to look for the hoatsin bird which is /was closely related to the archioptryx (? Wednesday, 3 October 2012. Day 10 Muyuna Final Day. This was our last day and as we hade to leave at noon to catch the ferry back to Iquitos we elected to go for a short canoe ride. It is amazing how differently the wildlife reacts to the quite serenity of the canoe as were able to approach much closer. The site, at most excavated pyramids, has information boards in both Spanish and English to explain what the pyramid or area was sued for. Bearing in mind that there was no written language a lot of what is said has to be knowledgeable supposition.
