Lensbirdie & her Lensbabies. Hi there, I am Birgit. The monicker for this photoblog “Lensbirdie” came naturally, having been called birdie more than half my life and being a shutterbug for nearly as long. I live in the southern Norway, with my partner and our two teenage sons. I work as a UX designer, and photography is my main hobby. I purchased my first Composer. An eager amateur, I am a member of two camera clubs. I am also the editor in chief of the Norwegian Photographic Society online magazine.

Apr 23, 2016. Early spring, both nature and people seem to rise from their hiatus and fight the remains of winter. Near Grimstad town lies Dømmesmoen, a beautiful park with a horticulture museum. During summertime, walks here are amazing; there’s the “Ibsen’s herbal garden” (as in the author, who lived in Grimstad) and there’s a pond with ducks and pink waterlilies. Hardly any left, I really hope this is a periodical issue and that they aren’t forever gone. Vi inviterte gjestene våre til en "photowalk" i koselige Kolbjørnsvik, der intensjonen var å fotografere byspeilet i blåtimen. Så hadde jeg selvsagt slurvet med pakking av fotosekken, så det ble ingen lang-lukker-fotografering på meg. Jeg fikk meg i alle fall en hyggelig prat med de oppmøtte medlemmene! Jeg bestemte meg for kun å ta med Lensbaby-optikk, dessverre ble det litt for raskt mørkt til at jeg fikk testet macro- og creative aperture kitene. Disse to er tatt med Edge80, som skaper et plan av fokus i stedet for det karakteristiske "sweet spot" som oppnås med de fleste andre optikkdelene til Lensbaby.
