Today marks the 2 months left of waiting until I board the plane to Washington D.C. and then get on AirFrance to start the beginning of my journey to South Africa! I can't believe it's only 2 months. This time will go by so quickly. God is good and faithful! Now I just need to pray that the rest of the funds come in so I can pay for the rest of my trip. God is good and faithful! She was still doing well but her son wasn’t any better. We were able to talk about having faith in God regardless of whether or not healing happens. My Journey as a Intern Missionary with Thrive Africa. Wednesday, June 30, 2010. My attempt to combat homesickness. So we’ve been told we can only put facts about our time here as interns with Thrive. I think this counts if not I’m sure I’ll be asked to remove it. But I just think I need to be real. While my time here has been wonderful I’ve also never realized before just how I enjoy and miss certain things from my life back home such as:. Going to sleep in a pitch black room. Determining my own schedule.

We got one final photo of us with her and Eric. We each hugged her and said Good Bye. As I walked away from her house for the last time, I was a little choked up. She said with her children and grandchildren either at school or not living with her anymore that she felt lonely most of the time. It was nice to know we were giving her some needed company. Lay it down slow". Saturday, December 19, 2009. Another rainy day w/ some sun afterwards.
