I read something yesterday that really struck me. It was an English professor writing a review of a book by Professor X who made some notes on former students in addition to the review. And the professor thought about the question- because it was clear to him from the tone that the student wasn't being a troublemaker; he simply wanted to know the value of reading it. Why should he spend the money and time on this book? Unless it's Dickens. I still see no value in Dickens. I hate Dickens.

And though I'm still a flame-throwing liberal, I do not blame Sarah Palin or Fox News for what happened. No food with faces! My bottom lasagna noodles are hard as heck! No, that isn't any type of euphemism or anything. . . . Recently my boyfriend and I decided to make vegetarian lasagna ( w. ricotta and mozzarella cheese, lots of veggies, no sauce or tomatoes), and it came out well except the bottom layer of noodles was hard as heck! I lightly coated all the noodles with olive oil, and the other layers were just right, but just the bottom layer was very tough and hard. What should I have done instead? I ten...

I didn't cover him with a blanket, because he generally just pulls it off anyway. It's just a breast, for goodness' sake.

Monday, May 10, 2010. Athletics pitcher Dallas Braden did the nearly impossible yesterday and pitched the very rare perfect game. Unlike a no-hitter, a perfect game means NO person on the opposing team gets onto a base. That means no errors and no walks! For Game 3 and punched the Celtics hard with an even stronger blow out.
