A Farewell to JMC 327. April 28, 2011. It’s that time of year again–another school year is almost done. As a senior about to graduate in two weeks, this is certainly a bittersweet time for me. I’ve anticipated being finished with my classes all semester, but will certainly miss many of them. One that I will miss most is my social media class with Dr. Carol Zuegner. I am an illustrator and I live in Sheffield, UK with my children Leo and Daisy, and three cats, a dog and 2 hamsters. I studied Graphic Design at Humberside University which has led my career and I gained an MA in Children's Book Illustrating in Cambridge. When I'm not illustrating, I love to laugh and sing and bake (weather permitting) and browse through junk shops and bookshops. Friday, 7 March 2014. My poetry reading with Elspeth Brown was great. A lovely audience who were very enthusiastic and complimentary. Thursday, 6 February 2014. The Poetry Association of Scotland have invited me along with Elspeth Brown to give a reading on 19th February at 7pm. Elspeth will be reading from her new collection. Among other poems I will read some with a starting point of artworks by other artists. The event will take place at the Royal Scots Club, 29-31Abercromby Place, Edinburgh, EH3 6QE.

I am an artist and poet whose journey has led me in many directions but I always come home to Scotland; to the comfort of mountains and shore. It is in this land I am driven to describe the world around me and communicate my inspirations to other people. Art is a spiritual necessity.
