The Inconstant Gardener: August 2006
http://theinconstantgardener.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Zen and The Art of Gardening. Monday, August 28, 2006. I should have this garden angel dressed in a rain slicker! It's been so unseasonably cool and rainy for the past few days. A mild 63 degrees with gray skies. Feels more like Seattle than Lincoln in August. Sure hope this doesn't mean we're in for a brutal winter. I'm not quite ready for fall! Thursday, August 24, 2006. Wednesday, August 23, 2006. Within my Garden, rides a Bird. Upon a single Wheel—. Whose spokes a dizzy Music make. The dandelions and...

It was almost 80 yesterday and feels more like summer than fall! 5:28 AM, October 30, 2006. I envy you the red leaves. Still waiting for them to change here. But I did get to see some pretty autumn colours in Victoria so that was nice. :). 6:54 PM, November 02, 2006. 7:01 PM, November 02, 2006.

The Inconstant Gardener: November 2006

Zen and The Art of Gardening. Tuesday, November 28, 2006. Another feathered friend. He made a brief appearance a few years ago on the 5th of July. We think all the noise from the 4th scared him away from his normal habitat and he found refuge in a tree near our front porch. He hung around for a day or two, but we never saw him again. The other day Bobby Flay had a throw down at a shop that claimed the world’s best grilled cheese sandwiches. As luck would have it, Sweetie, had already bought the ingredients for the best grilled cheese I’ve ever enjoyed. This was so simple and absolutely delicious! The key is to make the sauce:. 1/2 cup of mayonaise. 1/2 cup of raisins. 1/4 cup almond slivers. 1 tsp of curry powder.

The Inconstant Gardener: Sheridan Street Bridge
http://theinconstantgardener.blogspot.com/2006/11/sheridan-street-bridge.html
Zen and The Art of Gardening. Monday, November 06, 2006. I go under this bridge every day I walk the Rock Island Bike Trail. I love how the trees provide a canopy across the bike path. It doesn't seem possible that they're almost completely bare now. With our warm temps today (66) and even warmer in tomorrow's forecast, it sure doesn't feel like fall. But I'm not complaining! It won't be long before we're dealing with ice, snow and subzero temps. 7:23 PM, November 08, 2006. You walk every day? View my co...

The Inconstant Gardener: Caught, Red-Handed!
http://theinconstantgardener.blogspot.com/2006/11/caught-red-handed.html
Zen and The Art of Gardening. Wednesday, November 01, 2006. This little guy claims innocence, but I know better. He's been busy devouring my pumpkins! He should know better. In another few weeks, Rod will toss all the pumpkins in the backyard and let the squirrels feast away on them. But for now, Sammy will have to wait until the coast is clear before he can dine. Poor guy. And how wonderful that you left the not-so-pretty pumpkin out! 9:25 AM, November 09, 2006. 9:36 AM, November 09, 2006.
