Situated within a beautiful park like setting the Leslie Groves Hospital, the Redwood Unit, provides 31 beds for those assessed as requiring hospital level residential care. Residents have large, modern private rooms, with their own ensuites, ideal for personalising with momentos and treasures. There are both Standard and Premium Rooms as well as four palliative care rooms with a lounge area available for family use. Registered nurses supervise resident care 24 hours/day seven days a week.

In a warm and friendly environment the Leslie Groves Ferntree Unit is a modern, purpose built facility providing 17 beds for those assessed as requiring rest home level dementia residential care (D4). All rooms are single rooms with their own ensuites perfect for allowing the room to be personalised with momentos. There are both Standard and Premium Rooms available. Our chaplain visits regularly and interdenominational services are held weekly.

With lovely courtyards for family and friends to share, the Taieri Unit provides 23 beds for those assessed as requiring hospital level dementia care (D6). Situated within a beautiful park like setting, the Leslie Groves Redwood Unit provides 31 beds for those assessed as requiring hospital level residential care. In a warm and friendly environment the Leslie Groves Ferntree Unit provides 17 beds for those assessed as requiring rest home level dementia residential care (D4).

Medical services are either provided by the house doctor or by a GP of your choice -you are welcome to retain your usual GP. Leslie groves accepts residents regardless of their spiritual background. We respect the right of every person in our services to their own choice of spiritual care as well as their choice not to have spiritual care. We have a large commercial modern kitchen run by ACE Food Services, Dunedin. The menu changes for summer and winter and runs over a six weekly cycle.
