It's always a tough little transition when the magical first few weeks of no deadlines draw to a close. They have been magical, though. No one's on the spot. The only dialog is between those darned undergrads talking in semi-low voices about unrel...

True, the vice president typically has very little responsibility or power. But McCain's selection seemed really reckless to me. Last night, as Annie and I were brushing our teeth, I stumbled onto what I think is a plausible explanation for McCain's choice. Here goes:. Who knows George W. Bush as well as almost anyone? Apple Annie's is a family owned farm that invites community members to handpick the freshest produce directly from their fields and orchards. This was a perfect opportunity to enjoy the perks of the harvest without months of manual labor. What would the little red hen say about that! Monday, October 15, 2007. Last week, Andrea a...

Nick and his wife Christi and their little two-year-old daughter Ginger (the cutest two-year old I know) live pretty much next door. So Christi and I decided that I would make the cake and she would make dinner. Chocolate Ginger Pear Fudge Cake:. Fondant aux Poires et au Gingembre. Preparation Time: 20 minutes.
