http://sherristudio.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
SherriStudio at Catfish Corner. Our little piece of heaven in Pepin County, Wisconsin. Friday, January 9, 2015. Art Glass Sculptures Entered in ArtsWest. This will be my third year of entering the ArtsWest competition that is sponsored by the L.E. Phillips Memorial Library in Eau Claire. It's always fun to have something like this to look forward to and this year it was my goal to enter glass works instead of paintings. The plight of honey bees is real and this "squeeze on bees" is illustrated by the out...

SherriStudio at Catfish Corner. Our little piece of heaven in Pepin County, Wisconsin. Friday, February 20, 2015. It's not a new fitness program, but rather the process for starting on my latest painting project.for hire this one! My past few weeks of painting was a warm up to this project. The subject is the beautiful African Black Forest Cobra. Was it my choice? No, but I'm very grateful to have a project to paint something for a real live customer! The path to the painting. http://sherristudio.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
SherriStudio at Catfish Corner. Our little piece of heaven in Pepin County, Wisconsin. Monday, March 31, 2014. Day Before April Fools. A BEAUTIFUL day at Catfish Corner! The snow and ice is receding and the horses are happy, the dog is happy, the chickens, and the humans! The grip of winter will probably try to make a last stab or two, but this weekend and today has been proof that there is, indeed, an end in sight. The walls are covered with new art, old art, and the CLUTTER is overtaking! The past few ...

SherriStudio at Catfish Corner: Corpse Corners
http://sherristudio.blogspot.com/2015/02/corpse-corners.html
SherriStudio at Catfish Corner. Our little piece of heaven in Pepin County, Wisconsin. Friday, February 13, 2015. Mercury retrograde offered up some strange days last week. I usually don't put too much investment in that happening until tragic events started happening. It wasn't just the miscommunications and inconvenience of misbehaving mechanics. This was real life and death. Not tragic, but has me scratching my head about my brilliant art career. (Yes, note sarcasm.). Shortly before the sheriff arrive...

SherriStudio at Catfish Corner. Our little piece of heaven in Pepin County, Wisconsin. Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Yes, I'm ready for my close-up! Maggie was intrigued by this funny rock in the mud puddle. Mmmmm? A much smaller cousin of Ms. Snappy Pants. AND THEN, I found a beautiful moth out at the barn this morning. I love how the eyes look like an owl. That would scare it's enemies away. Tuesday, June 10, 2014. More Flowers of Spring. In photography and in art:. As available at Fine Art America. Black Se...

SherriStudio at Catfish Corner: August 2014
http://sherristudio.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
SherriStudio at Catfish Corner. Our little piece of heaven in Pepin County, Wisconsin. Saturday, August 16, 2014. Mother Goose and New Mother Goose. The blessed event occurred Friday morning, before we left for our day, and it involved the hatching of four baby geese. They were properly placed under Mother when we left, but were decidedly LEAVING THE NEST when we got back. So we let Mommy and her babies, daddy and the two uncles take care of the clan over night. It will be perfect for these lovelies.

SherriStudio at Catfish Corner. Our little piece of heaven in Pepin County, Wisconsin. Thursday, July 24, 2014. Getting Zesty With Etsy. Another work in progress: starting the Etsy shop for sherristudio. Getting new photos of everything has been interesting to say the least. I get WAY too much help from my chickens. I have a display that I move outside to hang the glass, try to catch the sun in the afternoon, try to hold up a reflective panel, get a few shots, and how much help are these birds? Cheyenne ...

SherriStudio at Catfish Corner. Our little piece of heaven in Pepin County, Wisconsin. Thursday, June 18, 2015. A little of this.a little of that! The irises have put on a stunning display this year. Wish they could last all summer. This tiny turtle was so colorful on the underside. What a cutie! I turned him loose by the creek. Another snake painting was completed for the Snake Man. This one is the Timber Rattler. He might want me to do a hawk this fall. That would be a nice change. Cool moth out on the...
