Swimming lessons and priorities | Lessons from little people
https://lessonsfromlittlepeople.wordpress.com/2012/05/28/zoe-is-actually
Lessons from little people. Small packages. Now with wisdom AND dynamite. Zoe is actually quite a good swimmer, given her age. She is a better swimmer than her performance in the pool would suggest. She simply won’t do what the instructor asks her to do. And if the instructor tries to force the issue a little, then Zoe will do some kicking (but this time it comes with and screaming ). The net result is that Zoe could easily be in the next class up if she really wanted to be. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.
Appreciating risk | Lessons from little people

Lessons from little people. Small packages. Now with wisdom AND dynamite. Another historical lesson Rijk aged two and a half. It was Christmas 2010 and I took Rijk to the office family Christmas party. This entailed a train trip into the city and then to be entertained by pirates and jumping castles. This seemingly innocuous combination of activities may seem altogether arbitrary, but to little Rijk this represented awesome to the power of Woohoo! He had an absolute blast. Being thankful | Lessons from little people
https://lessonsfromlittlepeople.wordpress.com/2012/05/31/being-thankful
Lessons from little people. Small packages. Now with wisdom AND dynamite. In our family, we say prayers every night. Rijk’s prayers usually run along the lines of Please can we have a good sleep, no bats, no dark shadows, no monsters under the bed, no busy bees and no flowerpots . I have no idea why these are the things he says, but it has been the same for months. I don’t try to correct him or ask him about the flowerpots. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Setting a good example | Lessons from little people

Lessons from little people. Small packages. Now with wisdom AND dynamite. Setting a good example. We were getting ready for bed last night and Rijk did something that was an exact replica of something I do. Our kids imitate us a lot. It’s how they learn things. It’s how they learn practical things like talking but also how they learn things like behaviour, self respect and how to treat others. That got me thinking on two things :. And secondly, who do I model my behaviour on? Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Monday, May 12, 2014. And Pooh gave Christopher Robin the biggest Pooh hug. He could because he knew that goodbyes were not Far Away.". I've gone through this post in my head more times than I can count and have been putting it off for days now. Some big changes are happening around here, and I wanted to share them on the blog instead of leaving everyone hanging. Feeling nostalgic, I went back through the last eight years of pictures to find some of my favorites to share with you. A group pic from my fir...

I really love Lord of the Rings. I just finished. Which was good, but in my opinion, not nearly as good as. The complexity of the epic trilogy is engrossing. I sit with my iPad (for access to the LOTR Wiki. Let Go of the Ones You Care About. Let Go of Your Stuff. And then you can go yourself, and be free. Gandalf.

Lessons From Lola
Lola's Dad. Most weeks we spend the majority of our days together. She's my best friend and I hope that I can teach her as much about life as she's taught me. How about you stay 6? What’s so great about being 7? You know, if we travel at the speed of light I won’t get any older. That’s actually precisely correct. Yeah But I don’t think our car is up for that. Reading a story she wrote for me aloud). Hellip; and he met a rat who likes to surf. Liked to surf. Liked. Past tense. Lost her second tooth!

5 Lessons to learn from Lord of the Rings. Nothing but lessons…. August 10, 2015. Mission Impossible: Rouge Nation REVIEW. I’ve been a huge Mission Impossible fan since I was a kid, cause my parents are a huge fan of action films. Ideally, Tom Cruise will always be Ethan Hunt, and Ethan Hunt will always be Tom Cruise. Mission Impossible II was my all-time favorite. I find that Chimera-Bellerophon thing very interesting, no matter how simple it was. This is a good sign people! Every single part of the mov...
