Lessons Learned in Everyday Living: Learning a foreign language
http://lessonslearnedineverydayliving.blogspot.com/2014/02/learning-foreign-language.html
Lessons Learned in Everyday Living. Life lessons from raising a family and being a woman. Sunday, February 2, 2014. Learning a foreign language. They say children under age six pick up new languages most quickly, but I’m not so sure. I’ve been hanging around the older crowd lately (OK, I am. Reading books isn’t much better. Honest to goodness, this is a sentence from a book I just read: “Di-indolemethane (DIM) is the most potent promoter of 2-hydosylase, the enzyme that helps to correct d...Mostly, thoug...
Lessons Learned in Everyday Living: The glass is half empty, thank goodness!
http://lessonslearnedineverydayliving.blogspot.com/2012/05/glass-is-half-empty-thank-goodness.html
Lessons Learned in Everyday Living. Life lessons from raising a family and being a woman. Sunday, May 6, 2012. The glass is half empty, thank goodness! Why do we buy into the notion that we can see the proverbial glass only one way—either half full or half empty? Why can’t it be both? I reject the notion that our view of the glass automatically relegates us to the ranks of either optimists or pessimists. Laughing with old friends. Serving a mission with my husband. Maybe even going back to school. Black ...
Lessons Learned in Everyday Living: Timing is everything
http://lessonslearnedineverydayliving.blogspot.com/2012/08/timing-is-everything.html
Lessons Learned in Everyday Living. Life lessons from raising a family and being a woman. Wednesday, August 8, 2012. Alex Morgan, USA Women's Soccer Player. From sports to humor, from health to happiness, timing is everything. You can throw a zinger to first base, but it doesn’t do a bit of good if the runner beats you there, and who cares if you have a killer swing if you’ve already missed the pitch? Oddly, we don’t fully control the timing of matters far more important than hitting a home run, cr...
Lessons Learned in Everyday Living: Out of alignment
http://lessonslearnedineverydayliving.blogspot.com/2014/09/out-of-alignment.html
Lessons Learned in Everyday Living. Life lessons from raising a family and being a woman. Saturday, September 27, 2014. I knew I should have taken my car in sooner. It was pulling to the right, but I ignored that. I was too busy to get it realigned, and, besides, who wants to shell out money just to have the wheels straightened out? But because I procrastinated, those wheels wore down prematurely, and I had to pay a bundle for four new tires. But it was all too much, and I snapped. Realignment. Some ...

Lessons Learned in Everyday Living. Life lessons from raising a family and being a woman. Thursday, April 28, 2011. The Perry Children, Easter 1999. 8220;Do you miss having little kids? I was never what some would call “a baby person.”. But not long ago something happened to alter my opinion of myself, at least slightly: we watched home videos. What a shock to see myself in living color being sweet and kind to my children! An accurate piece of my mother collage. In other words, w. Tter equipped to handle...

Sarahendipity: Phebe: 2 Months Old
http://sarahendipity.blogspot.com/2014/05/phebe-2-months-old.html
Life can be wonderfully surprising. Tuesday, May 13, 2014. Phebe: 2 Months Old. Phebe is an angel in our home. I love these pictures KaRynn took on Phebe's two month mark because they capture her personality so well. So I started wedging her body between two pillows (carefully, of course, to avoid SIDS risks). It sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. But she seems to be getting more used to sleeping on her left because I'm finding that she turns her head back less and less. This is what my house looks like...

Sarahendipity: Phebe's Birth
http://sarahendipity.blogspot.com/2014/03/phebes-birth.html
Life can be wonderfully surprising. Thursday, March 20, 2014. I can’t wait to meet her in the next life and learn from her. And I feel like these two ancestors of mine were very likely present for Phebe’s birth. I did not have a profound spiritual experience, but I was told in the blessing that Brent gave me before we left for the hospital that I would have the help of ancestors. And while giving birth I felt more inner strength, steadiness, and calmness of mind than I knew I had. I have nothing against ...
Sarahendipity: December 2014
http://sarahendipity.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Life can be wonderfully surprising. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. 2014 Year in Review. This year has been one of blessings and growth. The highlights have included welcoming Phebe to our family, visiting grandparents in Utah over 4th of July, living with my parents for 5 weeks in August-September while Brent was in Sydney for work, the decision-making process involved in Brent's career future, and visiting CA again this Christmas for my family to be reunited for the first time in years. Sleep deprivation...
what matters most: Carliles are...revision number ? (I lost count!)
http://markandjonna.blogspot.com/2011/02/revision-number-i-lost-count.html
Saturday, February 19, 2011. Carliles are.revision number? Brittany and I had a long talk about our Carlile Family Identity last night and decided a couple things were still missing. Only problem is.how to add one of them in without sounding bratty. I mean, really? Carliles Get What They Want".nope, makes me cringe! Well, lets just say a certain Provo florist didn't exactly deliver Jenni and Brittany's flowers, but instead, left Mark a message that they'd made an attempt to deliver them, but since no one...

Family of Power: June 2012
http://familyofpower.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 24, 2012. One of the things I've enjoyed about not working full-time (as in a job I go to- there is ALWAYS work at home) is having a little more time to read blogs that I enjoy. When I was working I only read my children's blogs. I've been catching up with Cakewrecks. Because it makes me laugh out loud. I've also been catching up with nienie. I was so happy to find out that she had a baby. I can't wait to read her new book Heaven is Here. Writtten by a friend of mine in California. 65279;Who...

Lessons Learned in Genealogy Research
Sharing my experiences in my genealogy research and what I learned from them. My parents taught me how to read a road map when I was young. They would let me tell them where our next turn was on trips to my grandparents, a road they both knew very well. It was a good way to learn because I couldn't get us lost, since they knew how to get there without a map. I love all kinds of maps- antique maps, road maps, topographic maps, informational maps and on and on. Land Records You May Have Missed.". Was the B...

Lessons Learned in Life's Crisis
Lessons Learned in Life's Crisis. Monday, January 29, 2018. Sometimes there are things you just don't talk about. Sometimes they are too hard. too personal. too much in general. Someone told me this is still part of a testimony of all God has brought us through. This is really what I dealt with in my abuse. becoming completely emotionless. which is safe. but very sad.
