The Oak Tree: The Oak Tree Poem
http://lessonsoftheoaktree.blogspot.com/2009/02/we-are-all-children.html
Through the winds of unpredictability comes a strength we never knew. The Oak Tree Poem. Posted by Mamma Mia. By Johnny Ray Ryder Jr. A mighty wind blew night and day. It stole the Oak Tree's leaves away. Then snapped its boughs. And pulled its bark. Until the Oak was tired and stark. But still the Oak Tree held its ground. While other trees fell all around. The weary wind gave up and spoke,. How can you still be standing Oak? The Oak Tree said, I know that you. Can break each branch of mine in two,.
The Oak Tree: Shrinking Our Fears
http://lessonsoftheoaktree.blogspot.com/2010/05/shrinking-our-fears.html
Through the winds of unpredictability comes a strength we never knew. Posted by Mamma Mia. Is it possible to not have fear? Can our faith really be so strong that we feel great hope and peace in the face of deep trials or pain? I've been thinking a lot about this question lately. Neal A. Maxwell once said,. Love of God is sufficiently deep. Then we will be sufficiently assured of His enveloping loving-kindness. With this perspective, our fears can shrink. Fear for mankind's future solely because of.
The Oak Tree: Dissonance
http://lessonsoftheoaktree.blogspot.com/2009/10/dissonance.html
Through the winds of unpredictability comes a strength we never knew. But an approaching storm creates a cool. In singing, another past time I love, often notes will clash in harmony then resolve leaving one wanting to hear more. I love to sing alto; I welcome the difference and sometimes the clash knowing the dissonance will bring depth and richness to the song. An unexpected but welcome choice. We are drawn outside by the diversity of color but are we really getting the message? Thank you, Pugg.
The Oak Tree: Meet Lil' Acorn
http://lessonsoftheoaktree.blogspot.com/2009/03/meet-lil-acorn.html
Through the winds of unpredictability comes a strength we never knew. Posted by Lil' Acorn. When Mama Mia told me she was inviting me to be part of The Oak Tree, I was really excited - except for when I found out I'd have to write something about myself. but here it goes. . I selected the pseudo name "Lil' Acorn" because that is the first thing that I thought of when I read the poem - we are all acorns - we all have within us the ability to become a mighty oak. . The things I value most in my life are m...

It might be time to start blogging again. Monday, April 5, 2010. If You Care to ...

Monday, June 29, 2009. A couple of weeks ago, we got to spend four days at Lake Powell. What an adventure. To start with, Jeremy decided to just have everyone sleep in the boat. I was a little nervous that one of the kids would end up falling off the side of the boat during th. E night. He asked if I wanted to tie a rope around each kid's ankle. Of course, he was just kidding, but I wasn't when I told him that was a great idea. I said if I heard a splash during the night I would j. Let the Sports Begin!

Kami's Blog: Let the Sports Begin!
http://jeremyandkami.blogspot.com/2009/06/let-sports-begin.html
Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Let the Sports Begin! I have officially started my life as a sports mom. Marét and Bridger started softball and kickball respectively. That means every night it seems we've got something going on. It has been hectic but very fun to watch. Here's a few picture plus a list of reasons I like little kids' sports. 1 There are no outs. Well, in softball they do kind of get out, but no one really keeps track. 3 An "inning" really just means that everyone rotated through batting order.
Kami's Blog: August 2008

Thursday, August 7, 2008. I have been chastised. For not keeping up my blog. So here goes. So much has happened in the last couple of months so I'll just go in order. First, Zach got his cast off and learned to walk! He only crawls to the nearest object to pull himself up and then he's off again. Yes, he still has that funny crawl even though his cast is off. He's keeping up with the other two a little better, but still gets left behind sometimes. Then I finished my ESL endorsement! A final happy note &#...

Friday, June 13, 2008. Our first broken BONE! Another post about Zach! One week ago Thursday, Zach was playing with brother, sister, and cousins. As children will do, they placed him on the couch and then ran to get him a toy. Unfortunately, Zach fell off and he must've landed just right because he broke the top of his radius! Tuesday, June 10, 2008. In May, we got a surprise call that my Grandpa Guinn had died. Immediately we started making plans to go to the funeral in Cottonwood, Arizona. Even as he g...
