気温は Single digit (一桁の数) 華氏で5度、摂氏に換算すると氷点下15度です。 摂氏0度は、華氏で32度、東京あたりでは氷点下になると大騒ぎかもしれませんが、シカゴでは、35度であろうと25度であろうとあまり違いはきになりません。シカゴでは、Single digit という表現が、厳しい寒さを指します。今日は、あまり風がありませんが、これで少しでも風が吹くと体感温度はぐっと下がります。 これが、below 0 となると、”なるべく外出を避けるように！” となります。 シカゴから東南アジアに行くのは、ユナイテッド航空が比較的便利で、最近はいつも使っています。 ただ、最近は、便数が減り、飛行機がジャンボから777へと定員がすくなくなり、なかなかアップグレードもままならなくなってきました。 まだ、発売がいつになるかわからないようですが、おそらく3月頃かと言われています。 さて、教科書も、紙を使わず、タッチパネルを使ってインタラクティブに活用できるようになる日が来ることを期待しています。 さっそく、数カ国の招待講演者から、メールで確認事項などが届きました。 今度、彼らの担当するシカ...
