How much have we spent so far? Rebuilding a 1970 VW Beach Buggy. 15 November, 2008 · Filed under Bodywork. Robin was back round to give us a hand with some fiberglass today; one hole needed patching from when we got the shell, the other hole we made removing some of the old parts when we dismantled the car. Here is one of the patched holes: (Better pictures to come tomorrow when it’s light). Build a basic boot (wood only no treadplate for now). Get the wiring loom in place suspended in the shell.

Before it started raining today we managed to get the wiring loom into place on the shell. This is quite comforting really because it means we’re pretty much back where we started. While we have been working on this a mate of mine has built a mk2 golf drag car, and another mate has build a street fighter bike, seeing these getting finished has really got me back in the mood to do some work on the buggy. Then the rain started so the buggy was covered back over and left until the weekend.
