Thursday, September 20, 2007. Been busy lately, what with preparing for another run after the Shape 5km one. Our times were pretty decent. At least we were in the top 1,000 out of 3,880 5km-ers! Haha HB clocked in at 00:32:34.63 and was placed 168th. I was further down the food chain at 00:35:31.72 for 433th placing. The photo finish shots were really unflattering, taken from the ground up. Friday, February 15, 2008. HB and I were at sis' place and the race course was just minutes' away. So got tickets to join the "gamblers" before trying our luck (and powers of elimination) at HB's place later at night. The horses weren't very cooperative and, of course, we weren't high-rollers. So there. Uh uh Somebody's all growed up! And some boys are still not. Check out the cool "curtains"! Forgot to take photos of the food before they were guzzled down by everyone. Sunday, April 27, 2008. AND THEY CALL IT. Posing at Mycenae. Spring in Greece is a riot of wild flowers. The blooms push out from cracks in rocks, invading ancient and important archaeological sites, turning the grey stacks of rubble into something out of a psychedelic dreamscape. Poppies pop up everywhere. And people are tempted to pick them up. The stalks are not easy to break off though because of the furry surface. Among the ruins of Larissa fortress above Argos (above).
