TUCKER and MEG IN MARYLAND. Thursday, December 20, 2012. Margot turned one on Sunday and we celebrated with about 30 of our favorite people. Why are 1st birthdays such a big deal? The child can't really enjoy it. A lot of love was put into the birthday cake. Granny (my mom) was with us for 6 days and baked about 50 cupcakes (some vanilla and some chocolate) for the big day. I've got my eye on you, Tennessee.". Granny also made us Swedish Glogg as one of the (many) festive beverages (champagne! Hmmwho doe...

TUCKER & MEG IN MARYLAND: November 2012
http://tuckerandmegmcdonald.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
TUCKER and MEG IN MARYLAND. Thursday, November 29, 2012. Though I'm not one to typically share something like this, I thought I'd share what I'm currently praying for as it relates to Margot's palate surgery. As we prepare for the big day, we ask for your thoughts and prayers. Here are mine:. 1 I pray that Margot won't be scared and that she feels her mom and dad's presence even though we won't be in the room with her. 6 I pray that she adjusts to her temporary feeding style and arm restraints quickly.

TUCKER & MEG IN MARYLAND: Thanksgiving In Hoboken
http://tuckerandmegmcdonald.blogspot.com/2013/12/thanksgiving-in-hoboken.html
TUCKER and MEG IN MARYLAND. Friday, December 6, 2013. This year, we travelled to Hoboken to celebrate Thanksgiving with my Aunt Priscilla. It was the 5 of us plus Priscilla's pal Anne who became Margot's new buddy. We brought our own Butterball turkey to dinner. We by-passed the Black Friday madness and went to Brooklyn on Friday for lunch and a stroll around Park Slope. It was bitter cold, but so much fun to be out on an adventure! Margot worked in a nap in the stroller, thank goodness. A Few Words From...

TUCKER & MEG IN MARYLAND: April 2013
http://tuckerandmegmcdonald.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
TUCKER and MEG IN MARYLAND. Tuesday, April 16, 2013. While I've referred to our house as "the little house that could," with all it's potential and the love we've put into it, our back deck was "the little deck that really shouldn't. At some point last fall, we gathered bids to rebuild our old deck and realized how unsafe it was. No part of it had ever been to code; not the beams themselves, not the stairs, not the way it was anchored to the house.not even the nails that were used, fergodsakes. It's been...

A mom, a plan, a canal, pamoma. or something like that. Things I Love Thursdays. Posted in Kid Stuff. Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens! Okay, I’ve actually never eaten Schnitzel. Some things I’m digging right now…. Gelli Baff by Zimpli Kids. This stuff is AWESOME. You mix a packet of sand-like stuff with water and it turns into a bathtub full of jelly! I know, I know… again with the small woodland creatures and anthropomorphizing. I can’t help it. Maileg. Sarky T. in my inbox?
