Downeast Running: May 2005
http://downeastrunning.blogspot.com/2005_05_01_archive.html
Adventures of a Downeast Maine runner. Monday, May 30, 2005. The Ache That Wouldn't Go Away. So for Monday I got in 4.4 miles in 37:28. This was an aborted 10.4 mile workout due to the leg. I can't take the chance of aggrevating the injury since my real goal is to successfully manage the high mileage of my marathon training program. Secondary to this is the entry into the summer races. Posted by Andrew at 9:57 AM. Links to this post. Sunday, May 22, 2005. Where'd the pain go? Oh, there it is. My left leg...

Downeast Running: July 2005
http://downeastrunning.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html
Adventures of a Downeast Maine runner. Sunday, July 03, 2005. After crossing mile 5, I started to worry about my place. I'd had lost the desire to win and now was concentrating on keeping my 2nd position. What a struggle this was. While ascending the mile 6 hill I felt like I was going slower than a turtle. I kept thinking "pump the arms! What this meant was: I was about to be devoured if I didn't get my act together and fast! This was a case of running the 1st part of the race beyond my threshold as the...

Adventures of a Downeast Maine runner. Friday, April 22, 2011. This morning I rolled over at the alarm and woke up late. I got dressed for the run but then got distracted by work. And finally, Lisa came downstairs and pushed me out the door. And surprise - there was Eric (now from Long Island) running on my course! I haven't seen him in months. So we got a nice 5 miles in together and caught up. Posted by Andrew at 9:59 AM. Great to run with you again. I have a great product for all of your lady readers ...

Downeast Running: Now I Remember
http://downeastrunning.blogspot.com/2011/04/now-i-remember.html
Adventures of a Downeast Maine runner. Tuesday, April 19, 2011. You know you have running issues when you can't remember what the last marathon you ran was. I checked. it was PEI in 2008. How did so much time go by? And then I went for a run. And realized I had lost my speed too. And gained weight. All bad. I've got 26 weeks. We can make the turn-around. So Day 2 of Week 1 this morning. Easy 45 minutes. Yesterday I ran an hour. Congrats to Mark B. and Jamie and Austin for their good races yesterday.
