Joulukuu 9, 2016. Kurun suunnittelu lähti liikkeelle siitä, että kartoitimme mielenkiintoisia kohteita niin kotimaasta kuin ulkomailtakin. Parhaan kuvan tietysti saa siten, että menee paikan päälle katsomaan ja fiilistelemään. Siksi suuntasimmekin marraskuun lopulla Lappiin, jossa talvi olikin jo pitkällä ja pakkanenkin huiteli kovimillaan -20 korvilla. Ensimmäinen tutustumiskohde oli Levin Iglut. Jokaisessa lasi-iglussa on minikeittiö, suihku ja wc sekä sähkölämmitteiset ja huurtumattomat lämpölasit....

Simply my Hockenheim weekend was a nightmare. We couldn t make the car run at all. Every time I hit the throttle, I was only smoking tires. Except once, which gave 4,6 sec run and number #2 spot in the field. Some comfort. Small though. On the first round of Sunday eliminations, we met. People are asking me, if I m afraid of driving Top Fuel. I can tell you I m afraid not to make the run. Heh heh; what can possibly go wrong in 4 sec? My book got a new line again.

Santa Pod, England. Six days at Santa Pod. And only one sunny, dry day. We came so early to Santa Pod, because we wanted to test our new car. Due to the rain, hailstones and thunder, it just wasn t possible. But I have to tell you, the weather was spectacular! You can t help the weather, so Sunday qualifying started with a half pass. We had Dom Lagana assisting us.

It was just great to get back to Tierp. That is called The Track. And the Swedes had done a good job again. But regardless of the good track, my nightmare just kept on going. Q1: Fuel pump lingage got broke. I was pushed back after the burn out. Q2: Technical problems and I wiped the guardrail. Only softly, but I lost the side panel of the front wing. (The only decent time 4,07 and #4 in qualigying.). Q3: Oil tube got loose and there was oil everywhere. The flames were only oil buring by hot headers.
