The Lewis Family Goes to China: We're Home Again!

http://lewisesinchina.blogspot.com/2008/06/we-home-again.html

Sunday, June 29, 2008. It was with great sadness and great expectations that we left China to go back to our home in Arizona. We will sorely miss the wonderful people we. Met during our year there - the good friends we made, the hardworking students we taught, and all of the people that helped us and looked after us so well! Flying over Prescott, and later, driving around and doing some shopping, the first thing I noticed was the complete lack of PEOPLE! Station playing a song whose words I knew! We laid...

The Lewis Family Goes to China: April 2008

http://lewisesinchina.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 30, 2008. Can You Say, Vanquish? One of the vocabulary words in my English class was the word vanquish, as in The Hulk vanquished his enemies! 160; Well, that is exactly what happened to our neighborhood train ticket office! 160; We used to buy our train tickets here up until a couple of weeks ago. now not even the building is left standing; just a pile of rubble! Speaking of the word vanquish, our rabbit has gotten HUGE! 160; He is getting much faster, stronger and harder to catch, too!

The Lewis Family Goes to China: December 2007

http://lewisesinchina.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html

Saturday, December 29, 2007. From what we have seen, most Chinese children (and adults) are extremely fit and healthy.  From a very young age (3 years old! They compete against other schools in a variety of activities.  In Peter and Jack's school, they run relay races, do push-ups, sit-ups, climb ropes, and do calisthenics every day.  Many days, Peter and Jack come home with sore muscles! Then, Sophie's school asked us if she would represent their school in the same competition against other schools!

The Lewis Family Goes to China: July 2008

http://lewisesinchina.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html

Sunday, July 13, 2008. We had a terrific welcome home party where we got to see many of our friends all at one time.  Since Sue's nephew Alex is here, I bought a sugary-cereal (basically junk food in my opinion) that the kids would really enjoy, called Froot Loops.  You can see the giant sized boxes available for big families here! Our little blond nephew, Sam. The kids finally got out of the pool to get something to eat! John and Tanner, having some sweets. Cassandra grew so much while we were gone!

But you can't take the 'Ham out of the Lewis. What's going on up here anyhow? Tuesday, January 08, 2013. 2013A New Year. What's next? 2013What will you be? How will you change us? Who will we be in 2014? A new year is always a great time stop, reflect, and really be honest with myself. I have so many blessings in my life and so much that I treasure. Is my gratefulness evident in my everyday life? This year I will feed myself and those I love well. Posted by SL @ 12:13 PM. Friday, June 25, 2010. Sampling g...
