Friday, October 5, 2012. Our Girl at Work. Ms Eley sent us these pictures of Lauren at "work". Lauren started her new preschool about a month ago. It's a church preschool just like the last, but her class is a Montessori class and the learning style is quite a bit different. Lauren seems to be settling in well and we feel it's a great place for her to be. These are the learning goals set for the students this year:. How to put their work away where they found it. How to tidy up after themselves.

Tuesday, October 30, 2012. A Family of Pumpkins. These were our pumpkins that Lauren decorated for Halloween. She made a pirate for Daddy, a princess for herself, a cat for Wader (the dog), and a mummy for Mommy. Friday, November 9, 2012. As my tummy is forever growing, so is the itchy skin that comes with it! Lauren was happy to help when I asked her if she wanted to paint my tummy with calamine lotion. The sun (above) is one of her favorite things to draw and paint right now. In fact, she drew a huge sun on our bedroom door with chalk. When I noticed it, she said "look in the babies' room, mom! And there I found a beautiful display of chalk suns all over the wood floor! January 3, 2013 at 9:19 PM.

Friday, October 12, 2012. A Little Lunch Date. Lauren and I have enjoyed occasional visits to the local Root Beer Stands and West Lake Drive-In this past summer. Lauren scrambles up front with me and we enjoy our hot dogs and root beer together. These pictures were taken on a recent Indian summer day in which we went for lunch after Lauren got out of preschool. The fall colors around the lake were beautiful! Tuesday, October 9, 2012. Wednesday, August 29, 2012. For MawMaw, Lauren, and I, the twelve hour trip to Baltimore was as long as could be. Poor Lauren must have asked "are we there yet? About a hundred times. At last, we arrived at our Baltimore hotel around 9pm. After the appointment, we headed out and Lauren was asleep by the time we hit the toll road. We stopped at the Flight 93 Memorial since MawMaw was interested in seeing it for herself. It was a quick visit as we made it there just before dusk. Needless to say...

Saturday, July 7, 2012. No Longer an Only. Congratulations, Big Sister! Lauren is going to be big sister to babies number two AND three!
