http://letsgetoperating.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
An Account of the MIT's Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) Class of 2013. Wednesday, April 3, 2013. OK, I know it's been a long time since I've last posted, but here's a long post to hopefully make up for it. Open House is this week so, of course, I'm going to talk about what might come after or, if you prefer, out of the program - your full time job. I'll give away my ending first - I found and committed to a job! I am very excited that in July I will be joining Corning Incorporated. In the fall of you...

http://letsgetoperating.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
An Account of the MIT's Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) Class of 2013. Wednesday, December 12, 2012. It's 12-12-12 and my day to become another year older :-). Birthday balloons and goodies! Last week I went to another concert put on by Bill Kirchen, my cousin once removed (he's really my Dad's cousin), and had a great time. This week I am wrapping things up in Michigan with GM and am looking forward to what the next phase of my LGO experience brings. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). An SO of an LGO (Liz).

http://photosforfood.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Photo Days at MIT. Tuesday, September 13, 2011. The new Fall Sloan MBA semester has started. Classes have begun and already my time is severely dwindling. Fortunately, interesting experiences have interspersed this beginning. Below are some pictures from team building at the Warren Center during orientation week. PS My camera broke and I will be getting one soon. Until then, pictures may be a bit scarce. Project and Team Management at its worst (and funniest! My wonderful team, the 2013 Indian Gulls!

Let's Get Operating: First Day of Classes but Really a Set of Comments on Introversion
http://letsgetoperating.blogspot.com/2013/02/first-day-of-classes-but-really-set-of.html
An Account of the MIT's Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) Class of 2013. Thursday, February 7, 2013. First Day of Classes but Really a Set of Comments on Introversion. After having six months of an 8-5 work-type schedule where I was mostly solitary (no other LGOs at GM and no other LGO interns at any company for hundreds of miles), coming back to a more erratic school schedule filled with lots of people and lots of demands on my time has honestly felt a little strange. I think this 'all on all the time...

Let's Get Operating: Last but not least part of Plant Trek - Amgen and Puerto Rico
http://letsgetoperating.blogspot.com/2012/01/last-but-not-least-part-of-plant-trek.html
An Account of the MIT's Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) Class of 2013. Sunday, January 29, 2012. Last but not least part of Plant Trek - Amgen and Puerto Rico. Amgen organized tours, Q&A sessions and a quick case study like we often have back at MIT in our weekly Proseminar class and then they had a very nice reception outside for us, complete with food and live music. It was the end of our trip, the weather was beautiful and we had a wonderful time. Definitely worth a celebration. Domestic Plant Tre...

Photo Days at MIT. Wednesday, October 26, 2011. Sloan believes in giving back to the community too. On October 21, 2011, a big gourp of MIT Sloan students volunteered their time and cleaned up part of the Esplanade. The Esplanade is a park area along the river where many different events happen. It also has children's playgrounds and running paths. Check out the photos below of us trying to make a difference. Thursday, October 13, 2011. Bonding in All Atmospheres. Photo Days at MIT: Nissan, Nissan, Nissan
http://photosforfood.blogspot.com/2012/03/nissan-nissan-nissan.html
Photo Days at MIT. Saturday, March 31, 2012. Nissan, Nissan, Nissan. The final visit of the trek drew us to Nissan and their Oppama plant. Here they produced their the Leaf, Juke, and a few other vehicles. Again, their tour was well thought out and flawlessly executed. There was a presentation followed by the plant tour and a Q&A session. Biggest thing I noticed was the contrast in how a Japanese car factory and an American car factory was run. Oh, and yes, that is a ship in the last picture.

Let's Get Operating: New apartment!
http://letsgetoperating.blogspot.com/2013/01/new-apartment.html
An Account of the MIT's Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) Class of 2013. Sunday, January 20, 2013. This weekend, I finally moved into the new apartment here in Cambridge. I've got my stuff into my room and am maybe 75% set-up, but the big things coming up will be actually doing things like getting groceries. It was so bad that the mattress looked like it was on a hill or something, it was so slanted. I couldn't sit on the end of the bed. I couldn't tuck in my sheets. Now that I'm back in Cambridge, as ...
