The bands' albums that were released in the late 90s were on small labels that either didn't promote the album or went into bankruptcy and left the band hanging out to dry. Why do they get bad mouthed in the press, still, to this day about letting Joey Belladonna go in favor of current singer, John Bush? Get over it already, people! Back in 2003 when the MTV brought back the Headbanger's Ball, life became bearable again for all of us metalheads that couldn't seem to find any place where metal videos and music could be viewed on TV. The first show featured Metallica as the guest hosts. Awesome choice! There is a God after all. So, after a year and a half of "The Ball" being back on the air, what do you all think of the quality of the show? Why are they here?

Wednesday, February 09, 2005. Suffocation live in San Francisco. If you don't know, Suffocation was formed in the early 90's and churned out three albums and two EP's before disbanding after 1998's 'Despise the Sun' was released. The band's New York style of death metal was highly influential, with more "catchy" riffs and groove than other death metal bands in the 90's. I do have some cool pics of the show. What can you say about a band who so genuinely loves to perform and appreciates what they have?
