Monday, October 15, 2012. Book: The Inner Circle. I am not usually a fan of political themed books of any kind. Having said that, I read this book after my husband listened to it on CD and raved about it for weeks! I thought it was a little slow in the beginning but then it picked up very quickly and became a very engaging read that kept me guessing until the end. This book is well written and the author uses so much detail that you feel like you are living it out in real time. I love a book like that.

Saturday, May 19, 2012. I recently finished this book after receiving it as a gift from a very dear friend (and cousin! This book is well written and engaging, but in my opinion it lacks in content. I loved peeking in to her life and watching as she succeeded and struggled in the every day. Her main point is right on: Focusing on God is the true calling of the Proverbs 31, and the every day, life. Definitely an enjoyable read, but more for fun and less for strong Spiritual growth. Monday, February 27, 2012. Kiss Me Like You Mean It. I first saw this book while browsing through books at the library. I love a good book about how to spice things up in my marriage and after reading the back of the book for a snippet of what was inside, I was intrigued. I thought this was a fun little book with a serious message given in an enjoyable way. If you are looking for a way to spice things up, or just need a little kick in the butt to get things going again, pick up this book!

Tuesday, July 24, 2012. This book is actually very interesting and very thought provoking. For me, personally, it encompassed a line of thinking that I have been praying about a lot recently. Although I am not Amish, there is a lot to be said for the way they live and live out their faith. I appreciated the author's real life examples and bringing the reality of the Amish life into my own life and home. Very good read and lots of good ideas and thoughts! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Monday, June 24, 2013. Week #1: -1.0 pounds. Total Pounds Lost: -4.0 pounds. First week of Weight Watchers did not go well. It may have had something to do with the fact that I used every single possible point I could throughout the week and did not try as hard as I could have. The ladies at the meeting today were very encouraging. The meeting place this time around is up the street at a local senior center. Let me tell you, these ladies are hilarious! On the road again. Friday, November 8, 2013. We are all alive and doing well. Piano lessons have started back up and we have a full schedule that keeps us super busy all week long. I cannot believe it is Fall, almost Thanksgiving, almost Christmas. How is that for a run-on sentence? I am hoping to update more frequently. I am still working out like a maniac and hope to post some before and afters on here soon. Not too much of a difference visually speaking but lots of differences to speak about, nonetheless.

Thursday, May 16, 2013. A little happy after so much gloom! Yesterday morning, a man that was a big part of my growing up years passed away. This man owned a farm. We were neighbors. He was a quiet, hard worker who loved his family, loved his wife and taught me a lot about hard work. His oldest son was one of my best friends. We were able to visit him on our trip up to Michigan before this last trip. He met Emma and I was able to see him one last time and for that I am grateful. Monday, May 13, 2013.
