Cutest Landing: Keep it Simple...
http://cutestlanding.blogspot.com/2012/06/keep-it-simple.html
Begin at the beginning, the king said gravely, and go on till you come to the end: then stop. Monday, June 4, 2012. Recently, one of my writer friends gave me some of the best advice, I think, I've ever received about writing. Now, I've received this particular bit of advice before. It's not new advice. In fact its probably something people have been telling other people for centuries. It's also something people have been ignoring for centuries. Destroy the Ring (LOTR). Survive the Games (Hunger Games).

Photos by Drachma: June 2014
http://photosbydrachma.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
A collection of photographs, taken in the last six years, from some of my favorite places. Monday, June 16, 2014. Just one, this time. This time, I've chosen just one photo. It's one which I have shared before (just a few posts before), but even as a rerun, this one kind of caught me off guard. It's so obviously one from the Grand Canyon, and it's one which was there for the taking - nothing fancy. But nevertheless, it expresses something so special, almost ethereal. The Book of Drachma. It's hard to bel...

Photos by Drachma: July 2014
http://photosbydrachma.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
A collection of photographs, taken in the last six years, from some of my favorite places. Wednesday, July 16, 2014. On the way out, some memories. This photo, from our first ever Alaska cruise is probably nice enough, though not nearly as crisp as I would have liked. But this particular photo became the basis for a painting, which still hangs in our bedroom. It is the reminder of what it felt like to be there. Next is our 2010 trip to India, and of all the spectacular pictures possible (of the Taj Mahal...

The Growing Writer: Writing in the New Year (Inspirational Monday)
http://vonlcid.blogspot.com/2013/01/writing-in-new-year-inspirational-monday.html
A blog to chronicle the trials and tribulations of a new writer. Monday, January 7, 2013. Writing in the New Year (Inspirational Monday). The first Monday of every month I like to blog about something or someone that inspired me to write or continue writing. Today my inspiration is new beginnings. I have no intention on publishing them myself. Some of them may end up as submissions to places if and when I clean them up a bit. I did it more as an exercise. Best of luck in the new year! The Growing Writer: Do Sweat the Small Stuff (Inspirational Monday)
http://vonlcid.blogspot.com/2013/02/do-sweat-small-stuff-inspirational.html
A blog to chronicle the trials and tribulations of a new writer. Monday, February 4, 2013. Do Sweat the Small Stuff (Inspirational Monday). In trying to improve my writing, I've been focusing on details. My mind naturally deals in platitudes and generalities. This was my pitfall as I wrote. So I've been retraining my mind to look for the small stuff. So I'm inspired by details and the fact that now that I'm looking for them I see so much more of the big picture. Posted by Von L Cid. I really like how you...

A blog to chronicle the trials and tribulations of a new writer. Monday, September 3, 2012. Failure is not an Option (Inspirational Monday). There are two moments I can recall where I hit a wall in life. I recall them specifically because I was able to push through and persevere. These were moments where my life could have taken two very different paths. Would I have to move back in with my parents? Where was my life headed? The Growing Writer: Anniversaries -- Inspirational Mondays
http://vonlcid.blogspot.com/2013/04/anniversaries-inspirational-mondays.html
A blog to chronicle the trials and tribulations of a new writer. Monday, April 1, 2013. Anniversaries - Inspirational Mondays. My inspiration for this month comes from the one year anniversary of the AtoZ blogging challenge I started in 2012. Although I will not be taking part in it this year, I am forever in debt to the shear luck I had in finding it in 2012. Last year I challenged myself to write twenty-six 600-1000 word stories all in the month of April. Posted by Von L Cid. April 2, 2013 at 5:42 PM.
