Boatsmith Shavings: November 2010
http://boatsmith.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 30, 2010. New Carl Stambaugh 36' Sharpie. I was recently out at Indiantown Marina to do a little job on a sailboat. I like to go out there because there are usually a few boats that are not just like all the others. I was certainly not disappointed this time. Tied up right next to the office was this delightful little sharpie. Here is a view into the head and the lower photo shows the holding tank. The holding tank is mounted above the through hull for easy draining when appropriate.

Pro-Built Tiki 30: Wire Runs Between Hulls
http://tiki30.blogspot.com/2010/11/wire-runs-between-hulls.html
Sunday, November 28, 2010. Wire Runs Between Hulls. James and Hanneke don't mention in any of there plans anything about electrical systems. A builder is basically on there own. We used ordinary compression style wire glands at first. These were not really satisfactory as they are designed for a single round cable. We had leaks around them into the cabins. We came up with this technique that is very simple and very effective. I thought I would share it. This system has worked out very well for us and we ...

Boatsmith Builds Iain Oughtred Guillemot Tender. The Guillemot is a strong, capable boat along the lines of a 19th Century ship's boat or large yacht tender. She floats on her designed waterline with three adults aboard and can take a great load of gear as well; she'll carry five people for moderate distance in suitable conditions. Monday, November 3, 2008. Iain Oughtred's Guillemot Getting Started. After the epoxy cured we removed the clamps and shaped the inner stem to the correct size. Boatsmith Marin...

Pro-Built Tiki 30: July 2010
http://tiki30.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 6, 2010. Islamorada Wharram Catamaran Rendezvous 2010. May 14-16 was the spring hui of Wharrams in Islamorada. We had our Tiki 30 down for the event and had a great time as usual. This time we pulled right up on the beach at the Lorelei Restaurant and took people on demo rides all day long. The wind was a little on the light side so we didn't set any speed records. However the slowest top speed we hit on any trip all day was 10 knots. Not bad for a boat with8-10 people on board. To start of...
