Second Life Research Journal. How are people finding information in Second Life? Laquo; Have I taken on too much? Presenting at my first conference in a virtual world. What I’m observing — the final decision. March 5, 2008 by librariandreamer. And where have I ultimately landed? Ultimately, this approach has not led me to a defined site that fits nicely into a traditional “statement of purpose,” but then I remember the words of Christine Hine. Research methods text that I am most certainly a. Who takes f...

Adventures of Yoshikawa: October 2013
http://adventuresofyoshikawa.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, 10 October 2013. Hot tubs. Time. Change/ no change. Blogs disappearing beyond recall: about 20 (v. bad). Going phut too awful for words. Decided needed to Keep Blog Active. So, surprisingly, here are a few random thoughts of the day. 1) Hot tubs, changing yet changeless. 2) On the other hand, seems to have been great advances in gym equipment. 3) World's End Gardens continues photogenic. 4) Eyes and cats are go. Make random inane remarks! However sometimes the kitties go a bit odd, with part of...

Friday, July 25, 2008. I've also found a good resource for graphic novels RA that looks like it's worth a read through. I agree with catatonia that del.icio.us is not particularly inspiring looking, though. Fairly utilitarian. And maybe could do with some other search features, like being able to sort a tagged list by something other than date? Or maybe this is possible and I just haven't explored enough. Labels: del.icio.us. Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Sunday, July 20, 2008. Flickr colours july 20. Some new...

Wednesday, 23 April 2014. It Began With A Japanese Lantern. Research discussions held: 1 (good); Metaphorical objects discovered: 1 (multilayered yet ambiguous, obviously). Adventures of Yoshikawa: I have new feet
http://adventuresofyoshikawa.blogspot.com/2014/07/i-have-new-feet.html
Wednesday, 9 July 2014. I have new feet. New feet obtained: 1 (ok, 2, but they come in one attachment) (v. good). So a couple of months ago took the plunge with approx 600 lindens and purchased said feet. Should be mentioned in passing that there are also SLINK hands (also de rigeur. For fashionistas, but still not so convinced by them, your hands get stuck in one position, I think) and this week a SLINK body, but - baby steps, baby steps. So easily decorated with umpteen shades of nail polish! Have most...

Adventures of Yoshikawa: Nostalgic kittens

Friday, 11 July 2014. VWER meetings attended: 1 (good); Kittens worn on head: 1 (nostalgic); Photos taken of feet: 3 (worrying). Attended Virtual Worlds Education Roundtable meeting last night. Will note in passing that until about 2 weeks ago had thought it was called Virtual Worlds Educators. Nevertheless can't help wondering sometimes if people who I know are no newbs really want their feet to look like that. Does it look ok on their viewer? Do they not look at their feet? Re: kitten wearing is this:.

Sunday, 9 February 2014. Your object 'Duck' has been returned to your inventory Lost and Found folder. Sims reduced to earth, sky and sea: 1 (sad). Received a series of messages from SL yesterday announcing that a variety of objects (stools, ferns, coffee makers, ducks, tabby kittens etc. etc.) had been returned to my Lost and Found by Art Fossett. Presume that soon Eduserv sim will be only a Location Not Found. Hope that previous post on poor dead Mitsies. Didn't trigger this end of era experience.

Dina's Deliberations
Wednesday, August 22, 2007. I enjoyed the 23 things experience but I also felt there was too much new information to digest in too short a period of time. There also wasn't a lot of technical support available, even though this was made clear from the get-go. I especially liked the wikis I saw, particularly for ALA conference newbies, as well as Library Thing which I now use as a Readers Advisory tool. What do I care, in the dreams and the languor of spring,. That my songs do not show me at all? The podc...

Wednesday, February 21, 2018. WIP Wednesday: Caron Cakes Faerie Cakes and Super Saver Minty Big Blocks. I saw a picture of a project on the Left in Knots blog of a charming hat pattern:. Https:/ www.leftinknots.com/home/2018/1/16/snow-drops-slouch-hat-free-crochet-pattern. I made squares that were a bit large (center and four rows of Faerie Cakes, one row of Minty). The color just unfolds so beautifully, and the Minty frames it so well. I'm going to finish this, but for the future when I get a Caron Cake...
