The Motherland: Romeo, Juliet, and the Flamethrowers
http://librariankelsey.blogspot.com/2016/11/romeo-juliet-and-flamethrowers.html
August 2016. Moscow is the newest chapter, and the adventures will be frequent and absurd. Thursday, November 24, 2016. Romeo, Juliet, and the Flamethrowers. In looking back through the blogs, I can’t believe I didn’t write about Romeo and Juliet and Fire, an experience I had a month or two ago that was incredible and worth a story. So, this is not recent, but it was incredible. I’m still unsure, but they played a few nice songs for us. And then there were. After the show, they invited all the flamethrow...
The Motherland: October 2014
http://librariankelsey.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
August 2016. Moscow is the newest chapter, and the adventures will be frequent and absurd. Monday, October 20, 2014. I made this because I was thinking of my Grandmother's. House, her porch, and morning coffee with her and mom. I was worried about my plants. There was an added worry about time and energy. This week was crazy busy, and I just didn't have the time or the energy to spend in my garden. Plus, leaving for Cambodia gave me limited time to worry about these things. I got three umbrellas. Well, I...
The Motherland: Cooking, a Second Post
http://librariankelsey.blogspot.com/2016/11/cooking-second-post.html
August 2016. Moscow is the newest chapter, and the adventures will be frequent and absurd. Saturday, November 19, 2016. Cooking, a Second Post. Produce at my local grocery store. The take of veggies one week. More often, I just stir fry some spinach or broccoli with some chilis and have it with my food. I’m eating amazingly healthy with this food that I make in my own home, powering up my body for all the dance and exercise that I do. Artistically taken photo of chopped veg. Figure 1. Soup. Not too shabb...
The Motherland: The Banya: A Russian Spa Experience
http://librariankelsey.blogspot.com/2016/11/the-banya-russian-spa-experience.html
August 2016. Moscow is the newest chapter, and the adventures will be frequent and absurd. Saturday, November 19, 2016. The Banya: A Russian Spa Experience. One piece of Russia that I recently got to experience was going to the Banya. The Banya is a type of spa, and they are all around Moscow. Some, which I have yet to experience, are female or male only, but the one that we went to is an entire facility rental. A small entry room for shoes, coats, umbrellas, etc. The floor also has nice pool-like tiles ...
The Motherland: A Russian Constant: Dance
http://librariankelsey.blogspot.com/2016/11/a-russian-constant-dance.html
August 2016. Moscow is the newest chapter, and the adventures will be frequent and absurd. Friday, November 18, 2016. A Russian Constant: Dance. This one isn't great form. From the very beginning. I’m sure some of the photos have popped up on my Facebook feed, and you may be curious. Dance ballet class is becoming an ever-larger portion of my nights and weekends, and I’m seeing fitness levels my body has never encountered before. A Plie, I suppose. Considerable progress has been made since this photo.

Monday, 21 September 2015. RBSCG conference 2015: Hidden collections: revealed. In the first week of September I attended one day of the CILIP RBSCG. The conference was split between Friends' House Library. And the Friday was at the British Library's conference centre. Where they have possibly the comfiest conference seats I have ever sat on. The conference had been divided up into six sessions, and I was there for the final two. Session five was uncovering your collections - promotion. Adrian concluded ...
Observations of a Librarian
Observations of a Librarian. Wednesday, January 25, 2012. China Mieville: Normally, I don't comment on books before I finish them, but I just wanted to say a few things about China Mieville's foray into YA lit. It reminds me very much, so far, of Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere. With the idea of a London that exists alongside and unknown to the London of our reality. For its lovely cover. I've continued to read his novels and short stories and he has yet to disappoint me. Although Un Lun Dun. In volume 1, Medle...

August 2016. Moscow is the newest chapter, and the adventures will be frequent and absurd. Thursday, November 24, 2016. On Food: The Diagnosis That Started it All. While I’m on the subject of cooking, I am interested in talking about food. My diet has become stricter and stricter in recent months, and I’m noticing some changes in my body as a result of the healthy eating. But let me begin from when the journey started. In April, I was diagnosed with something called PCOS, Polycystic. And then there were.

What more do you need? Wednesday, July 30, 2008. And, I'm back. Sorry for the long long absence. I haven't really been anywhere or done anything out of the ordinary. I'm not sure where the time went. Knitting Librarian
