Slanted: My Little Ones
http://librarianpants.blogspot.com/2015/07/my-little-ones.html
Tell all the Truth but tell it slant -Emily Dickinson. My children are just impossibly sweet and funny at the moment. We're at some sort of sweet spot in which they're both at good ages that just delight me every day, and I feel the need to gather up all the pieces of them, the moments that grandparents assure me are the best of our life, and hold them still somehow. Not a fan of pants outside. Watching the July 1st Parade. This will be one of my most favorite posts. I am happy that you are happy!

Slanted: Family Camp Vacation
http://librarianpants.blogspot.com/2015/06/family-camp-vacation.html
Tell all the Truth but tell it slant -Emily Dickinson. The kids, Steve's parents, Steve's sister and her kids, and I drove up to Fundy National Park. In New Brunswick on Wednesday and Steve joined us the next day. The zip lines at the camp playground. Sleeping in a tent (when I asked The Bairn about camping at Fundy, he said this was his favorite part). Things we did NOT enjoy:. The loudsters in the tent behind us. The Bairn playing with his baby cousin. Lexi took good care of Ellen and The Bairn. That p...

Tell all the Truth but tell it slant -Emily Dickinson. We have a free 2-week trial pass for the local rec center, so the kids and I have been swimming five times in the last week. The children adore the swimming pool. Every day Ellen asks me, "Rec center? And she screams with delighted recognition when she sees the actual building. She's also very impressed with her cherry bathing suit. Getting ready for the pool this morning. I'd blow it up and they could sit in it and it would be great!

http://librarianpants.blogspot.com/2015/05/tennessee-2015-part-ii.html
Tell all the Truth but tell it slant -Emily Dickinson. Tennessee 2015, Part II. We spun the Martha White wheel for prizes and received free merchandise, we toured the Lodge factory, and we watched a round of the cornbread cook-off. Steve even got a special mention at the cook-off as the person visiting from farthest away. Then we saw an armadillo. It was dead on the side of the road, but it was still a highlight of Steve's life and he maintains that he would like to buy a farm in Alabama. I wasn'...

International Chaos: The Longing Stare of an Ewok
http://internationalchaos.blogspot.com/2011/01/longing-stare-of-ewok.html
Chaos is the score upon which reality is written" - Henry Miller. Wednesday, January 12, 2011. The Longing Stare of an Ewok. Yes, it is another blog post about an animal staring at me. The picture below is of Owen, the family dog. He has the distinct honor of having lived longer than any of our other family dogs, all whom met some sort of untimely death. You have to admit, he looks like an ewok. January 14, 2011 at 5:35 AM. He does. What a cutie! January 14, 2011 at 11:52 PM. View my complete profile.

International Chaos: March 2010
http://internationalchaos.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Chaos is the score upon which reality is written" - Henry Miller. Friday, March 19, 2010. For Italy that is. I have not been very good in my blog posting, just not feeling it I suppose. But I have taken it upon myself to rise to the challenge to post for you. The last place I visited in Italy, Vernazza, was perhaps the most beautiful, for an outdoors kind of person like myself. Don't get me wrong, I like the museums and the art work, but if I had to pick, I would choose the outdoors. And of course what b...
Our little love monkies!: January 2010
http://anniemelinda.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Our little love monkies! Thursday, January 28, 2010. But, can I just say that I LOVE this boy? He is the sweetest baby and it's hard to even remember what our life was like before he was a part of our family. He's such a good boy! We love our Jacob! Posted by Annie M. Links to this post. Sunday, January 17, 2010. My dad took these pictures of our little man when he was here and Jacob was 5-days-old. I thought they were cute so I had to share. Posted by Annie M. Links to this post. International Chaos: And at last came Wales
http://internationalchaos.blogspot.com/2010/08/and-at-last-came-wales.html
Chaos is the score upon which reality is written" - Henry Miller. Sunday, August 22, 2010. And at last came Wales. Hard to believe I have come to the last post on my travels in Europe before coming back to the States. At least I am finishing up these posts less than a year later. I spent a week in Wales with my good friends Stephanie and Mary Beth. We got a screaming deal at a resort in a small town called Machynlleth. Thanks to Stephanie and her parent's time share investment. Statue of Owain Glyndwr.

Becky's Bonny Babble: March 2011
http://bigbadblogsbybecky.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Basically. What I'm willing to share with the world as a single, thirty-something female who has a semi-interesting and ever-changing life. Sunday, 6 March 2011. In November I acquired a kitten. (You see how much has changed since I last blogged). Initially, I named the kitten Fergus, because it is a perfectly respectable name to give to a male kitten who was born in Scotland. Plus the kitten looked like a Fergus. I looked at it, and said - "Fergus". Saturday, 5 March 2011. My good friend Kaly. Still the...

Becky's Bonny Babble: Gonna Fly Now!
http://bigbadblogsbybecky.blogspot.com/2010/09/gonna-fly-now.html
Basically. What I'm willing to share with the world as a single, thirty-something female who has a semi-interesting and ever-changing life. Saturday, 4 September 2010. Besides re-instating my childhood love for Rocky movies, this wee speech gave me a bit more strength to carry on. It's very true you know, life is always going to knock us back; but it's up to us to take the knocks and keep moving forward. "That's how winnin' is done", and believe me - Rocky knows! To endure through trial. I love you Becky.

Librarian Out Loud
Where shushing is never an option. Thursday, July 10, 2014. The TARDIS lands at the Library - A Whovians Club Adventure. When I started the Whovians Club, my first thought was that it would be really amazing to have a TARDIS big enough for the teens to get inside. My second thought was that i am crazy. How would I ever be able to pull that off? Tabling the project, I turned my attention to smaller activities. Each month we made props essential to Doctor Who. Polymer Clay Sonic Screwdrivers. Some pictures...

Exploring Libraries, Technology, and the place of the modern School Library. Not at all on topic…. Bull;September 16, 2011 • 1 Comment. I had thought about writing something about the Google vs. Universities lawsuit/scandal on going, but there isn’t much new I can write at the moment, and it has been given pretty good coverage across the Internet already. So, I have decided to go off topic today and give you something short, but still kinda cool. Is it even possible for a teacher to stay abreast enough i...

Tell all the Truth but tell it slant -Emily Dickinson. On our actual anniversary, Steve and I shared red velvet cupcakes with the kids (our wedding cake was red velvet) and I gave Steve this card by Nikki McClure. It's called 'Seal.'. An Impending Birthday Party/The Party is Over. I started writing this post about The Bairn's upcoming birthday:. The Bairn is turning six this month. (How can it be? Wasn't he just born? Soon he'll be in college! We're Not Keeping Up with Anyone! I added a note on all the i...

Too many words to tweet
Too many words to tweet. Monday, June 06, 2016. From Blogger to WordPress. Too many words to tweet. From Blogger and it can now be found at https:/ librarianpetergreen.wordpress.com/. Blogger has been good to me, but writing posts on the iPad has become too difficult with the demise of Blogsy (in which I compose this last post) and WordPress seems to be the logical alternative (thanks Steph). Now I just need to keep up my blogging. Over and out (from here). Links to this post. When your app goes away.

Too many words to tweet
Too many words to tweet. Reflections on Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Special Rehearsal Edition Script. No spoilers #keepallthesecrets but my comments are probably best read after you’ve read the script book. That is what I would do. I never read about a book or film if I am going to consume it. Even though it is a script I mostly forget this as I read it. Occasionally I would remember but mostly just chasing the next bit of plot distracted me. I think that the prospect of conquering the stage was pa...
