What's new and exciting in Young Adult Literature
Librarian says...: November 2009
http://librariansays.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
What's new and exciting in Young Adult Literature. Saturday, November 7, 2009. I love to read. I always have. And I love to share what I'm reading with others. There's nothing more satisfying than recommending a title to someone and having them come back to tell you how much they've loved reading the book. It makes me positively giddy! I have been recommending books to people all my life. How can you keep a great story to yourself? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Shelfari: Book reviews on your book blog.
Librarian says...: Newberry winner! And I know why!
http://librariansays.blogspot.com/2010/06/newberry-winner-and-i-know-why.html
What's new and exciting in Young Adult Literature. Tuesday, June 22, 2010. And I know why! I heard alot about this book at the librarian's convention I went to this past spring. Saying how it was definitely a middle school read but adults were going to love it, too. Calling it a "time traveler's wife" for young people, really great story. Well they hit the nail on the head! Cried like a baby on my front porch. Reread it several times (the ending). I'm still thinking about it! I'd recommend it to everyone!

Librarian says...: The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake, I can't stop thinking about it!
http://librariansays.blogspot.com/2010/08/particular-sadness-of-lemon-cake-i-cant.html
What's new and exciting in Young Adult Literature. Monday, August 23, 2010. The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake, I can't stop thinking about it! I'd read alot of press about this book. Lots of reviews, all good, and I couldn't wait to read it. It didn't disappoint! I really liked this book! So cool. It really got me thinking and I can't get it out of my head. What a different kind of storyline. So wild! I mean, to be able to taste the feelings of the person who made the food you're eating!
Librarian says...: October 2010
http://librariansays.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
What's new and exciting in Young Adult Literature. Monday, October 4, 2010. I finally finished The Passage by Justin Cronin! Seven hundred and sixty six pages! Seven hundred and sixty six pages! Months to finish it but I really wanted to finish it! It held my interest the whole time. I had post-it notes stuck all over the inside of the cover to help me keep track of the many different characters and who was a "good guy" and who was a "bad guy". Very Stephen King-ish. Have you ever read.
