Pop Culture Librarian: September 2013
http://librarianwonder.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 29, 2013. A couple of days ago, I got to ride a ferry for my work day because I got to go present my knowledges to another library system (what? I KNOW THINGS) and wow was it a gorgeous, splendiferous day to ride around on a boat. I love you, Seattle! And then, the day after, and each day since then, someone turned the lights out in Seattle. And turned on a wind machine. And a sideways rain faucet too. It happened overnight. I am less enamoured with you, Seattle! I really hope this stay...
Pop Culture Librarian: April 2013
http://librarianwonder.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 29, 2013. Leavin on a jet plane. Like T Pain says, it's five o'clock in the morning. Unlike T Pain, I'm not going to tell you a horny story about it. I'm up because I'm headed out of town, back to the Michigan homeland. The airport is a decidedly unhorny place. Maybe if I were T Pain, I would feel different. About many things, probably. There are so many things happening that I'm dying to tell you about, but it's early and I've got a plane to catch so I shall leave it all for later. We went...
Pop Culture Librarian: January 2014

Friday, January 24, 2014. Nordic Boy's 3 Part Birthday. Oops, see how I turned that shit around and made it about me again? We took the day off on Wednesday and I took him to a history museum which was a total score. They had old timey tools there, and old timey printing presses, and old timey factory machines. My guy likes old timey stuff in a Ron Swanson sort of way. We then walked around in the surprising sunshine and ended up on the Ferris wheel. It was good times. Thing One: DONE. Keep your expectat...
Pop Culture Librarian: March 2014

Monday, March 24, 2014. Moving on up. Or out. Or over. Oh hey. Guess what? I am moving the blog. Just not feeling this one no more, no how. Just doesn't look like me at all any longer. I am PETRIFIED no one will follow me over there, so prove me wrong, ok? Go over there right now and make a comment to show me you still like me, ok? And let's pretend we are not having this super needy talk right now, ok? Just stop looking at me like that and go update your readers or what have you. Posted by Librarian Girl.

Joshing Librarian: Bio & Related
http://www.joshinglibrarian.info/p/bio.html
Tim Spindler, “Statistical Analysis Models: Applications for Libraries”. Librarians may be good at counting, but as a whole the profession is not trained to evaluate and analyze statistics. Librarians offer numbers often as proof of the value of their work with little thought as to whether those numbers really establish anything of value…[Librarians] need to think critically about which statistics are useful.". Joshua is a graduate from Emporia State University's SLIM program. In May 2009 and a Bachelors...

Love Everyday blessings. Happiness. Fine food.Beauty in All Forms.Friends. Fashion.Memories. More Love. Thursday, November 26, 2009. I hope those of you who are celebrating will have the most joyous time with family and friends. In my part of the world, it is not common to celebrate it, but really reflecting and being grateful for blessings is always timely isnt it? So here, I have listed some of the things I am grateful for this year. My body giving me a wake-up call about my health. Thank you, universe!
Belly and The Bug: Camping: Rachael-style
http://bellyandthebug.blogspot.com/2011/07/camping-rachael-style.html
Belly and The Bug. Dude was walking up when we got back to the truck and I said, trying not to sound hopeful, "Are the campsites full? Or is there one for us? He sort of laughed as we loaded up the little crabapples back into their car seats. "Let's head down toward the beach and to another campsite down there. This is obviously too cold." YES! But Dude says I'm not invited on the next camping excursion because suddenly it becomes expensive. And really, that's fine with me. Buggy and Belly in sand heaven.
Belly and The Bug: April 2010

Belly and The Bug. They have no idea how much they'll want a nap in 15 years. See these cute little sleeping girls? I took this picture last night. And that was the last time they slept. Why don't they want a nap today? Monday, April 12, 2010. Back when I was preggo with the twinnies, I learned that there are MOM and POM clubs all over the country. You know, Mothers Of Multiples and Parents Of Multiples? Me, being the always patient mother, yelled back, "ENOUGH! EAT YOUR SNACK AND STOP THE SCREAMING!

Belly and The Bug. That so looks like "twin peaks" to my brain. Huh. Anyway. People have asked me since before the girls could talk if they have their own language. And my answer has always been a pat "no." They don't. They speak English and a smattering of Spanish words. That's it. The end. Have some stuff that is entirely their own language. Four examples immediately come to mind. When one says "let's play podidot" to her sister, she knows exactly what that means. And red bell peppers are peescents.
Belly and The Bug: December 2010
http://bellyandthebug.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Belly and The Bug. Who am I to stop her? The other night I was cooking dinner and Belly was happily hanging on the kitchen door. I smiled at my silly. "Why do you like hanging on the doors so much, Belly? She lowered herself and said sweetly, "It makes my bottom tingle.". Oh Great. Sigh. Thursday, December 16, 2010. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Belly and The Bug. I don't think I've discussed it here, but my mom went to Costa Rica on December 13th and didn't come back until day before yesterday. SHEESH I missed her. And the girls have relished - truly relished. Having her here. They want HER to put the banana on their plates in the morning. They want HER to read to them. They want HER to play blocks with them. And you know? And clothes shopping all by ourselves. What a treat! Thursday, March 25, 2010. Labels: food and wine. Now I want to be clea...
Belly and The Bug: November 2010
http://bellyandthebug.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Belly and The Bug. Never fear. I'm still alive! Bet you thought you'd lost me, eh? It ain't that easy, friends. Fact is that I've been busy and moody and playing angry birds and you probably wouldn't have wanted to hear all the bitching that's gone on in my head anyway (damn birds). So here's a recap of the last few months in no particular order. The babes are three. Or what if only one of them was? Would the other feel inferior? I don't know. Anyone have suggestions? I told the girls they could be whate...

Love Everyday blessings. Happiness. Fine food.Beauty in All Forms.Friends. Fashion.Memories. More Love. Tuesday, July 28, 2009. I have had the pleasure of meeting many, many different faces these past weeks, simply because I took up a position in a university. New roomie,(I share an office with her), new colleagues and a brand new boss. I am super pleased to report that I now work 8 hours a day (yeayy! Like normal, sane members of society and am having a blast so far. I am ecstatic. :):). I took some tim...

From My Mental Library
From My Mental Library. Book and film reviews. Fashion for the shallow-minded. Friday, 23 March 2018. The Fun Has Begun! The two weeks I was talking about here. Are over. I have now been around for half a century plus one day. At 6:30, the doorbell rang and my first guest arrived. As the Big Birthday Bash is going to happen on Sunday, I kept things deliberately modest yesterday. I only asked my immediate family over so that we could clink glasses on me. My sister and my parents brought flowers an...The d...

Your local library is a twisted place…. Bull;March 4, 2010 • 27 Comments. I thank all of my readers for spending time here over the years, it has been a lot of fun and extremely cathartic for me. The Librarian Without a Library | Just another WordPress.com site
The Librarian Without a Library. Just another WordPress.com site. April 24, 2011 by librarianwoutlibrary. Within the library community today there is a consistent theme of relevancy. Is the library relevant? How do we keep it relevant to current and, hopefully, future patrons? How do we keep libraries from dying off altogether as my father seems convinced they will? Your Friend Wil Says “Don’t be a dick”-to librarians. February 3, 2011 by librarianwoutlibrary. Provided by Wil Wheaton (and fly my nerd col...
