강원도 속초시 청호동 민속지. 모래 위에 세운 터전 속초시 청호동. 강원도 속초시 청호동 민속지. 강원도 속초시 청호동은 속초시의 도심 팽창에 따라 빠르게 도시화가 진행되는 곳이다. 또한 바다와 호수를 끼고 있어 수려한 자연 경관을 가지고 있는데다 ‘아바이마을’이라는 유명세로 인해 속초시의 관광 자원으로 개발이 진행되고 있다. 더욱이 과거 6 25전쟁으로 인해 남하한 피난민들의 집단 거주 지역이었고, 현재 주민들의 상당수가 피난민의 자손이라는 점들이 청호동을 복합적인 특징을 지닌 곳으로 만들었다. 초기 정착민들을 통해 산정한 마을의 경계는 북쪽으로는 바다와 청초호가 만나는 부분이고 남쪽으로는 동해대로와 청호동이 만나는 지점까지이다. 신수로를 중심으로 북쪽을 아랫마을, 남쪽을 윗마을이라고 한다. 청호동은 유명한 마을이다. 사람들은 TV 예능프로그램 ‘1박2일’과 ‘가을동화’라는 드라마에 등장한 청호동을 연상하지만, 그보다 이른 시기에도 신문과 TV에 여러 번 소개되었다. 물론 대부분 전...1900년...
