http://unemployedhack.blogspot.com/2008/03/triumphant-return-of-misanthrope.html
Sunday, March 02, 2008. The triumphant return of The Misanthrope. Did you miss me? Eh, don't answer that. So anyways, the last time I posted was in October, so here's what happened in the intervening months. 2) BF got a temporary job working with the state senate for the legislative session. It was not exactly his dream job and kinda sucks that it's only temporary, but it gave him a nice taste of the politico life here in Washington state. So, we'll see how it goes. SO glad you are back! I've missed you ...

A Curmudgeonly Crab: September 2005
http://crabbiness.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Commentary, essaylets, sacred cow tipping, miscellany and eclectia from a bleeding heart crustacean. Wednesday, September 28, 2005. Schadenfreude, gloating and a happy dance. From yelladog (via Shakespeare's Sister. Comes this excellent summary. Of the day's events. Things aren't looking so good for Tommi, Bill and Karl. (I hope Rover gets Fristed without DeLay. Or with DeLay I'm not picky.). Number three on yelladog's list makes me cry:. On a major meltdown for Fucky McFucker and team for a while, and...

The Misanthrope: March 2007
http://unemployedhack.blogspot.com/2007_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 27, 2007. My apologies to the Ducks. It's my fault Oregon lost on Sunday (or whenever the hell it was), because I had to go and root for them, and I know damn well that any team I ever want to win anything never ever wins. So I should have just kept my mouth shut and tried to forget that I knew of a team called the Ducks. Ducks? So, I'm sorry, everyone. I've let you down once again. Links to this post. The Misanthrope: I am a monster
http://unemployedhack.blogspot.com/2007/09/i-am-monster.html
Sunday, September 02, 2007. I am a monster. And then we find out that Easy's kidney disease has progressed (no doubt because I am a terrible person), and that she will likely need to be given fluids through an IV a few times a week for the rest of her life. We've not been told yet how much this treatment is going to cost, but I can't wait to see the look on the vet's face when I tell her we can't afford it. In other news, I am thoroughly enjoying Behind the Scenes in the Museum. View my complete profile.

The Misanthrope: March 2008
http://unemployedhack.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 15, 2008. So, it's been two weeks since I last posted. Oh well, baby-steps, right? A large part of the problem these days is that I find myself with very little to say. Either I am less irritated by life in general than I used to be, or I just have less time and energy to complain about things that I hate. A few items:. 2) Um Obama for President! Links to this post. Sunday, March 02, 2008. The triumphant return of The Misanthrope. Did you miss me? So with the dreariness of winter being al...

The Misanthrope: January 2007
http://unemployedhack.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 30, 2007. Um, almost free? The title of this post was going to be "Free at last, free at last! In reference to my having finished, after two whole months of slogging through it, Bleak House. By Alice Munro. I wish I could be friends with Alice Munro, although apparently she's in her seventies. Seems like a cool lady, though. The BF and I (I could start calling him the fie-ancy, but why ruin a good thing? But that's OK. It was one of the first movies I've seen in a while where I came ...

Sunday, July 08, 2007. In short, we have decided not to live in Olympia, though it will require me to commute an hour each way from North Tacoma (most of the rest of Tacoma also being replete with sex offenders). This saddens me, people. This saddens me a great deal. I. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Library and Archives News. Hello, I am Fat. The Misanthrope: May 2007
http://unemployedhack.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 24, 2007. Oh the pain, the hideous pain. Where to begin my tale of woe? It would seem that I am doomed to live a life mired in physical agony. Obviously I am exaggerating and I realize that many people live with chronic pain much worse than mine, but just indulge me for the sake of this post. So most of you, sadly, know about all the problems with my legs, because I've chronicled them exhaustively here. Well, the problem in my hip/pelvis (in medical speak, my right sacroiliac region. On Sun...

The Misanthrope: The post that almost didn't have a title, because I forgot to write one in
http://unemployedhack.blogspot.com/2007/08/so.html
Sunday, August 19, 2007. The post that almost didn't have a title, because I forgot to write one in. Here are some things:. If I just keep flipping. By the time I cycle through all the channels, I've forgotten where the shows were that I would have considered watching, and I turn off the TV in defeat. Message: Be happy with the cable channels you currently have. By Ian McEwan in hardback for only $5 (apparently some of the end pages were torn out), or Behind the Scenes at the Museum. I finished reading t...
