Getting back into the groove | Crossed Wires
https://librarygeek.wordpress.com/2006/10/07/getting-back-into-the-groove
Getting back into the groove. October 7, 2006 at 9:33 am. It’s hard to get back into the habit of writing whilst adjusting to huge changes. However, the itch to write has been pestering me lately. My current position has moved me further away from libraries, per se. In that my focus is upon our ontology (keywords and keyword structure) as well as other writing standards for a large content management system. And yet…I still am a library geek🙂. About a challenge to Farhenheit 451. I do wish people would.
KM in change averse organizations | Crossed Wires

KM in change averse organizations. July 7, 2006 at 5:55 am. One of my favorite librarian bloggers, Meredith is thinking about KM needs in her organization. Knowledge management in a growing and change averse organization. Jack has an idea that might be less threatening by requesting the information in a format familiar to the staff and faculty. However, setting any requirement or standard still. Requires effort and change on their part. Is this the only, or even the best approach? I too have encountered ...

What Web Users Hate Part 3: Reading. Point from Sandra Rossis article,. What Users Hate About Websites. That I feel is relevant to knowledge sharing systems is one that really drives me crazy! This is not applicable to OPACS, as it does not fit their function. It is a danger to libraries creating home pages. However, I will credit librarians with seeming to know not to throw long pieces at their users. However, websites by librarians for librarians do sometimes violate this issue. Many writers do address.

8220;Real Life” butts in. August 10, 2006 at 9:07 am. A few weeks ago I accepted a new job in Maryland! I cannot say more at this time, as the final check (criminal history) has not been conducted. Since I know I have no such history, I can rest assured that my contract is secure. I am really excited about my new position, as I will be doing pure taxonomy, thesaurus and ontology work. However, it has felt like the proverbial carrot on a string to manage to start work! My new contract is one of those R...

The great pyramid of intimacy | outBurn
https://outburn.wordpress.com/2006/09/10/the-great-pyramid-of-intimacy
Hold the paradigm and hit shift to exit. The great pyramid of intimacy. September 10, 2006. Last year at about the same time I was falling thousands of feet in love with a mirage but the impact nevertheless left a deep print. I’m not a happy fellow, haven’t been since last millenium. Torn for impossible inpersonal goals I set to make the world a better place, I’ve sucked the life from my whole surrounding. But back to intimacy. I am, and now to the pyramid. Picture a pyramid with lots of pointy tips....
Suicides suck | outBurn
https://outburn.wordpress.com/2006/08/07/suicides-suck
Hold the paradigm and hit shift to exit. August 7, 2006. My dad tried to commit suicide last week… he’s out of the hospital now and might be coming back to our country. We had a roommate for a short while, he tried to commit suicide too about a month ago. He’s back to living with his folks so they can keep a better eye on him. I’ve been thinking about it for over 15 years, I don’t think I’ll ever get to it I have so much to do. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Blog at WordPress.com.
It’s not so bad… POP! | outBurn

Hold the paradigm and hit shift to exit. It’s not so bad… POP! October 17, 2006. Perhaps you’ll recognize the feeling. Things are pretty bad, life is roughing you up. You’ve been there before, prey to the paralyzing pain that holds you in place, responsible for the less glamorous side of karma. But you stretch it some more, maybe able to bury your burden for a little while, months, years, or hours. You go on, but it’s always with you. How do you eat? Work or other income? Do you take drugs?

Hold the paradigm and hit shift to exit. August 14, 2006. I let my weed run out since Friday, means I slept a lot. I almost quit cigarettes too but the darn buggers just beg me to have a go at them, and I oblige. Hopefully I’ll be a bit more productive this week. Actually, scratch that. I’ll be a bit more. Impulse on life a much needed blur | outBurn

Hold the paradigm and hit shift to exit. Impulse on life a much needed blur. September 15, 2006. Hey, good news! I’m thinking of moving back with my mom and I’m gonna be 35 years old. Hourray, right? Weird part she’s not going to be there but I only figured that a couple days ago. I need to refocus my take on life away from my ambitions of the last five years and unto my own selfish self. As it stands, I’m taking on too many projects and honestly, I’m not good at any of them right now. Build a website wi...
SadTech: The Premise of SadTech
http://sadtech.blogspot.com/2005/01/premise-of-sadtech.html
Imagine how people in 2050 will look back at our lives today. Saturday, January 01, 2005. The Premise of SadTech. Have you ever talked with a senior citizen and heard the stories? Senior citizens love to tell about how they did things "way back when." For example, I know people who, when they were kids, lived in shacks. Pulled their drinking water out of the well. With a bucket, had an outhouse. In the back yard and plowed the fields using a mule. If you go to Williamsburg. And Lord help you if you ever ...

May 27, 2011} Re-purposing. I’m re-purposing this blog. My life has changed completely. The result is that I have no idea where I will be in twelve weeks. But I do know this: More change is in the works. So here’s what I’m going to do instead: I’m re-purposing this blog, and each day I’ll write a story, maybe very short, maybe in more detail, about something that has happened in my life. That’s it. Just a story every day. Just one. Kaykayeindbq @ 6:58 am [filed under Uncategorized. While it’s true ...
