theological moments: Avoiding junk, and other things
http://theologicalmoments.blogspot.com/2011/11/avoiding-junk-and-other-things.html
Meditations on faith, life, and theology. Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Avoiding junk, and other things. Habit, addiction, or ritual—and do the distinctions matter? Why alcohol, junk food, sweets, and caffeine—all at once? Whether out of guilt or curiosity, this was often the question I got. I replied with being inspired by a TED speaker and by Brene Brown’s book, The Gifts of Imperfection. I wanted to know. But ritual replaced by convenience just wasn’t the same. The Gifts fo Imperfection. My conversations...

theological moments: May 2010
http://theologicalmoments.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Meditations on faith, life, and theology. Sunday, May 9, 2010. Please God, It's Mother's Day. Can only be treated surgically. I wait for science. God waits for me. The days leading up to my son's brain/skull/eye surgery, I pay close attention to my son's head and hair, knowing that these are final moments for him without scars, and with hair. I look away lest I swallow the ball forming in my throat. Now I must go get my son. Thank you, God, that he cries to me from his crib. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Little Tito: December 2010

Monday, December 27, 2010. More Eye Surgery Ahead, and Another CT Scan. Hello fans of Little Tito, and Merry Christmas! Soon, we return to Seattle Children's Hospital. Another CT scan is in order, followed by appointments with the craniofacial team. It is a routine check to see how the skull is healing up post-surgery. Every 6 months now, Tito will have either a CT scan or MRI to track his progress and to check on what the inoperable parts of the tumor are doing. Links to this post. Tito and his NF1.

Little Tito: February 2012
http://babytito.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Seasons change as Ecclesiastes reminds us. As do blog names. We changed the name of Tito's blog, since he's no longer a baby, from babytito to lifewithtito. Perhaps you've discovered that already. Thanks for being faithful followers. Age wise, Tito turns three soon. Physically, he continues to thrive in his therapies (physical, occupational, speech, and pool). Verbally, he's quite the negotiator especially when it's sleep time. We feel grateful for each moment with our son a...

Welcome and thanks for visiting my site. This blog contains my thoughts, reactions, feelings to my second bout with lymphoma. I have been diagnosed with diffused, large-cell B lymphoma. Friday, June 5, 2015. I am still reeling over the inept game plan that the Cavs displayed in the fourth period and in overtime. Blatt just may be the first coached fired after taking a time to the Finals. I am a big supporter of him but whoever thought isolation basketball would win was badly mistaken.

Welcome and thanks for visiting my site. This blog contains my thoughts, reactions, feelings to my second bout with lymphoma. I have been diagnosed with diffused, large-cell B lymphoma. Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Karmanos and Catamaran really came through on getting my transplant approved quickly. They did it in less than 24 hours. Carol thinks that Catamaran has a note in my file to expedite my requests. I have had way too many problems with the drug company in the past but this time it was outst...I have be...

Welcome and thanks for visiting my site. This blog contains my thoughts, reactions, feelings to my second bout with lymphoma. I have been diagnosed with diffused, large-cell B lymphoma. Sunday, March 29, 2015. It has been a long day. I preached this morning after my discharge from the hospital on Sat. The sermon, "I love a parade" on three lessons that I glean from Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem. My strength was noticeably diminished but this may have been the result of dehydration.
