I began writing this blog while I was homeschooling our two children. I thought it was a good outlet and a way to talk with women who had things in common with me. It has been very fun and inspiring. I started working again in September 2009 after being a SAHM for fourteen years. Clearly I do not spend as much time sharing on my blog as I had in the past, but I still enjoy dropping in and posting something once in a while. ENJOY!

She was SO excited for her first day! We don't have tons of money to spend on designer wardrobes (who does? But I wanted her to have something special. So we got her "Twinkle Toes." They're Sketcher shoes that light up in the toes and the sides when she walks. She LOVES them! I know I'm biased, but what a beautiful little girl we have :).

The Ames Family Blog. Saturday, October 8, 2011. These last several months I have been TERRIBLE at updating the blog. I am so sorry! It's not that I don't want to. But it takes surprisingly a good amount of time to upload pictures and write catchy little things about our days. Add to that summer boating and yard work, the lack of naps in this house now (so no afternoons to blog) AND watching a baby one or two days a week, and you can see why blogging time just isn't there.
