Becky's humble opinions of various books. Monday, July 6, 2009. You just can't go wrong with Neil Gaiman. I don't know, maybe I'm biased. I've liked everything I've ever read by Neil Gaiman. Or maybe he's just that good. At any rate, his book of short stories, Smoke and Mirrors. Is fantastic. The stories in the book all have a magical quality to them, but they vary widely. "Chivalry" could almost be described as a cute. Also, READ THE INTRODUCTION! Just trust me on this one. Posted by Becky Robison.

La Bibliothèque: A screaming comes across my brain.
http://beckybookreviews.blogspot.com/2009/06/screaming-comes-across-my-brain.html
Becky's humble opinions of various books. Friday, June 26, 2009. A screaming comes across my brain. 0 14 02.8338 2. The first line of. Is "A screaming comes across the sky." This line is describing the sound of a German V2 rocket, but I thought it appropriate to parody this line for the title of my review because every time I read this book my brain hurt. If I read more than fifty pages at a time I started to feel as though I was going insane. The Crying of Lot 49. The Crying of Lot 49.

Pensive: July 2009
http://pensivedeepserious.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 22, 2009. The health care conundrum. First, an announcement: Pensive is now not only my thought blog. My good friend and roommate Ben is now a co-contributor! He has wonderful thoughts, many that are far more sophisticated than mine. I am sure they will be fascinating to read, so you should all be excited about that. HmI have many disparate thoughts here. How best to organize them? I think we're going to have to go with bullet points. And I mean how much money in additional. It would be o...

Pensive: Formalism?
http://pensivedeepserious.blogspot.com/2009/09/formalism.html
Sunday, September 6, 2009. In some ways I agree with this theory. Form can make a big difference in a book. I think Catcher in the Rye. However, the history major in me cannot help but protest this form of criticism a bit. Sometimes, in order to understand a work, you have. Posted by Becky Robison. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Thinking deeply, or seriously. The point of this blog. Man, when I was young I shoved my ignorance in people's faces. They beat me with sticks. By the time I was for...

Anxiety, Music, and Coffee: I love chromatics.
http://anxietymusiccoffee.blogspot.com/2009/07/i-love-chromatics.html
Anxiety, Music, and Coffee. Life, as it were. Thursday, July 9, 2009. So, I conformed and got a twitter. Honestly, I'm really not that big of a fan of it so far. It's kind of weird to get text messages CONSTANTLY every day letting you know what your friends and acquaintances are up to. Unfortunately, even though I'm not a huge fan of it, I'm finding it super addictive. Shit. That WOULD happen to me. It was truly one of the most horrific dreams I've ever had. Bad news. Anxiety, Music, and Coffee. Life, as it were. Sunday, July 5, 2009. The tides have turned from booze to tears. Also, Garik's drummer's other band, The Please and Thank Yous, played this show, and they are super happy punky whatsits. And they are precious. I enjoyed them greatly. Another band from Minnesota played (I think they were called Liar Birds, but I can't be sure) and they were fantastic too. All in all, a good show. I am all caught up on True Blood! Anxiety, Music, and Coffee: November 2009
http://anxietymusiccoffee.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Anxiety, Music, and Coffee. Life, as it were. Monday, November 2, 2009. Ten thousand miles in the mouth of a graveyard. Sohaven't posted in forever. You know. Life is hard that way. I'm in the middle of my sophomore year of college, so that's nice. I'm probably going to change my major to something along the lines of musical directing, because there's no way in hell I'm going to be a music performance major at my school. I would die.
