Tuesday, August 23, 2016. This is the day I realized Mom was very sick. She repetitively handed me the tv remote and asked me to turn on the tv. Over and over again I'd explain that the tv wasn't working. Frustrated and confused about what was happening with her, I sat at the kitchen table and wept. Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Our senses really are pretty incredible. Monday, June 8, 2015. When I tell people my mom has Alzheimer's Disease they usually reply with, "My Dad did too. Or my Grandmother did too." Everyone seems to know someone who's lives has been turned upside down due to this disease. Day to day in Delhi. Friday, November 29, 2013. Back where it all began. I moved back to Sydney in early July and I have been loving it. Even 4 months later I am so grateful for the simple things… Being able to step out my front door to go for a run, the anonymity on public transport, long hot showers, the food. oh the food. It turned out that when would be the 26th of November, the five year anniversary of the day I first went to India. It must be my personal auspicious day for travelling to India.
