Little Moments: October 2014
http://littlemomentsinthelifeofthesoares.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
In the Life of the Soare Family. Monday, October 27, 2014. No this is not an emergency landing, it's the entrance to the Space and Aviation museum in Mcminville! I was looking through our pictures of the last several months and realized we've done several fun field trips together since school started for us 3 months ago. This was one of the first back at the beginning of September. We had lunch out front near this bomber. A full size space rocket. One massive rocket engine. I think I have that right).

We spent a fun evening roasting hot dogs and such in AJ n Ruth's back yard for AJ's b-day and a Father's day get together Saturday evening. But of course I forgot the camera. Anyway here are a few things I've captured over the last couple days. Sissy with Bubboo enjoying a ride in her dolly stroller. These two spend a lot time hanging out together. I love the view from this wheat field.

It had been postponed a few times due to sickness and at last it was here! We started off on a beautiful sunny morning up the Columbia Gorge, an awesome place to start a trip, especially on sunny days! We made it 2 hours without a stop, which is decent with kids, and stopped at this lovely park in Arlington. There comes the train! It's all down hill goin...

Little Moments: Frosty Science

In the Life of the Soare Family. Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Our curriculum arrived last week and the kids began begging to start school again! I did a Timberdoodle Complete Core set for this year, I customized it by leaving out of few things and adding on a few more, like Horizon math, that I like better. They are really great at working with you and it takes away some of the stress to have things pre-picked to cover most subjects! This is also a piece of the Complete Core set, so cool! So you start with:.

In the Life of the Soare Family. Tuesday, August 13, 2013. Last Friday, after an appointment in Gresham, we had some free time and decided to go check out Larch Mountain with the kids. They hadn't been up there that they could remember so up we went. It's a great lazy day hike as you drive 14 miles up the mountain thru the OR. fir and hemlock lined road, and then you hike all of a 1/4 mile or less to a beautiful view. Beetlebug along for the ride. Wild blueberries in season. Are we there yet? These littl...
